  1. Yeah, I had heard that before. I ran it for about 20 mins with some good revving in there at the end. I think she got pretty hot.
  2. Blindness and no improvement/worse vision is extremely rare. It's the other things like dry eyes, light sensitivity, and glare/halos are much more common.
  3. I had it about 8 years ago. Overall I'm happy but I do have a number of side effects that are annoying. At night, I get star bursts around lights that make it a little more difficult to drive. The big thing is that I have dry eyes now. This is a VERY common side effect. I have to use drops a lot in the wintertime and when they get dry, my visual acuity goes to shit. It gets to the point that I have to use eye gel, not drops. Some people get very severe dry eyes that's painful. Do some googling on the subject and you see the extent of it. BTW, 20/20 vision men nothing in terms of visual acuity. The definition of 20/20 vision is that you can determine letters at 20 feet what should normally be seen at that distance by most others. Well, if you see double, or triple but can still read it, that's still 20/20 vision. I spent a lot of time debating whether or not to get the surgery. My father in law was (he passed recently) a doctor and he kept telling me you should never operate on a healthy organ. Ultimately I decided to do it because I could not wear contacts and sports goggles weren't available in my prescription. I used to play a lot of basketball and softball and well as diving and this made doing those activities so much easier. The bottom line is that I tell people they shouldn't have the surgery if contacts are an option. There's a lot of risk involved that IMO is not worth it if you can correct your vision with contacts.
  4. I got the bike out, started it up and let it run a bit. Doesn't count but it made me happy to hear the vroom vroom
  5. I wonder what ReconRat was looking for when he came across this...
  6. We looked at insurance once but it's been quite awhile. I'll have a look. Also, it looks like there is a list of potential adopters which is great...we are one of them and also donated some money. I had to restrain the wife...if it was up to her, she would hand them her credit card and tell them to do what it takes.
  7. Saw this on the new channel site...I feel horrible for what seems like a great dog. If anyone else is interested in helping out: http://www.wlwt.com/news/local-news/news-northern-kentucky/nky-hospital-looking-for-help-after-taking-in-burned-dog/-/13608792/23655398/-/p045jfz/-/index.html
  8. My wife has the Gen 4 Glock 19 and there's only one time I'm aware of it failed to eject. She has maybe 500 rounds through it to date. I've been using Frog Lube on it since it was new.

  11. I was going to put this in the photography thread but I thought many would miss it there... http://www.bspcn.com/2013/12/22/photography-cheatsheets/
  12. Many have seen this... Now there's this...
  13. Just 'cus your sucking his dick, doesn't make him gay
  14. I'm pretty sure that was intentional.
  15. That's pretty much what I was saying. I blame Obama and the Keebler Elves.
  16. I see you Tonik Everyone is ok with people being entitled to their opinions until they disagree with them...then suddenly it's not ok. He can say whatever he feels and if you find it offensive, don't listen. People are so damn sensitive anymore.
  17. It wasn't my intention to imply that all min wage earners are lazy...certainly there are lazy people all along the pay scale. The lazy people whine about it and the others do something about it, like better themselves
  18. You're right about lazy people. When I was young and stupid I got married at 19 and had a kid. I was making $5.50 and hour so what did I do? I got a second job literally digging ditches (landscaping, etc) to make ends meet until I could do better. There were days that I skipped meals so my wife and kid could eat. Now I make six figures because I worked my ass off and because my parents taught me the value of hard work and persistence. I'm tired of the whiners, most of whom bring doom and gloom on themselves because of poor decision making but do nothing to better themselves.
