Apparently, this is how you sell sell on Craigslist. I prefer the ebay method myself. http://toledo.craigslist.org/mcy/4406222943.html

The funny thing is, I learned about it from Yamaha's website so if it's not an official Yamaha event, I'm not sure why they would post it on their corporate site in the list of events.

Fuuuuck...thanks for getting the scoop. No reason for me to drive up then.

Tell me about it...this makes surgery #3 on the same knee and same leg as the achilles surgery in 2012. I'm a mess. -
Yeah, this too but I wouldn't buy one. I'd much rather have my Z for a bike of that ilk. I've been contemplating selling it though and getting a more tour oriented bike like the Super Tenere or VStrom 1K.

I'm close by in Montgomery...I'm having knee surgery in a few weeks but by the beginning of May, I should be good to start riding again. -
It looks like Yamaha will be at Lancaster Sport Cycles in Carroll, OH this Saturday (4/5) doing bike demos. Anyone know what bikes they will have available? It's not listed on their site or Yamaha's. Specifically, I'd love to ride the new Super Tenere. If it's available, I may head up there.

Final price drop...$4250. If it doesn't sell for that, I'll just keep it.

I was going to try to make it down there, even if for the weekend but I found out Monday that I'll likely need knee surgery so I don't think it's gonna happen. I meet with the doc on Monday, we'll see.

I meet with the Dr again on Monday but it looks like I have to have knee surgery again so I'm really not going to have a chance to ride much this season

Anyone that missed out on this, I'll be selling the same with some different accessories. I'm still a little unorganized from moving and need to get everything together.

The class represents the data transfer speed of the card. This is important to make sure the card can "keep up" with the data being fed to it from the camera. If not filming 1080p, you might get away with a lesser classed card but it's better to hedge your bets and get a class 10 in case you decide to use 1080 or upgrade your camera. I recommend Kingston or SanDisk brands from reputable dealers. There are A LOT OF FAKES out there, especially on ebay, I had a long discussion with Kingston about this last year at CES and they say the problem of counterfeits is huge and the only way to make sure you are getting authentic hardware is through authorized resellers. The fakes do not have the same performance standards. Probably more than you wanted to know

Depends on how much video you will be taking. I'd say at least a 16GB card and make sure it's a class 10.

Weather is getting much better...who wants it?

I'd wait and start saving now...since they have been so popular, I've heard that they will be upgrading the suspension a bit which is one of the chief (but minor) complaints about the bike. Personally, I'd rather find a nice used Gen 2 FZ1.

Cycle Specialties is the only dealer I'll buy from or go to service for in Cinci. Honda of Fairfield isn't too bad. I avoid Beechmont motorsports like the plague and that about covers the major dealers.

I'll have to hook up with one of you guys this summer

Saw an article about this today. If you are thinking about switching carriers or curious as to who may be the best in your area - this gives the breakdown: http://www.rootmetrics.com/rsr/ohio At the top of the page, you can filter by city, state and at the national level. Bottom line for Ohio- Verizon is best overall and has the best reliability but AT&T has the faster network. This is also the case nationally. Sprint and T-Mobile are lagging significantly. Take it with a grain of salt though as I'm sure it varies greatly by specific locale and where you use the service the most. I have AT&T now but will be switching to Verizon in the fall. We travel a lot and my wife has Verizon...she always has better service than I do and typically gets signals where I don't. I originally saw this linked on the Ars Technica site and on there, a reader made an interesting comment: That may or may not be accurate but if it is, it underlines why Verizon service is more reliable. Looks like they have a ton of data, including a coverage map. http://webcoveragemap.rootmetrics.com/us/

I thought OH dropped the financial responsibility clause and mandated insurance for all?
-
Mandated insurance is ok but doesn't do much good if there is no punishment for ignoring it. I also think it's a farce that you pay tax on your insurance policy.
