  1. I'll take the Kenny Roberts Yammie in the front
  2. Too much plastic for my tastes for a bike that's very likely to get dropped. Looks nice though.
  3. I guess I'm assuming the OP is being honest and have no reason to expect otherwise - what are you seeing that I'm not? Why would someone start a post (to vent?) and lie about it? He's not asking for anything nor is it going to influence the situation. In other words, there's nothing to gain from embellishing the truth other than to save face and if that's the case why post at all? Frankly, it seems lot of people on here are the "glass is half empty" types.
  4. You guys are harsh. Bad times are usually due to multiple things going wrong at once that individually are not problems, but collectively cause a mess. I can see how that may have happened and how it looks to those on the outside looking in.
  5. I pay for one of the higher tier broadband services from TWC
  6. Seems like the stuff I've read about it said it was a waste of $$ but I've never used it myself.
  7. Did I hear that they are widening the trails?
  8. Hmmm...the reviews I read on the ST were pretty good, obviously not up to the standard of the beemer but I don't recall anything about it being underpowered. Per Cycleworld Like I said, I'd need to ride one to decide how I liked it. Demo days can't come soon enough (nor the good weather!).
  9. Honestly, I like the ST because of the shaft drive (less daily maintenance). I'm not sure I see the big V to be any more or less of a dual purpose bike than the ST. I would definitely be up for hitting some fore roads on either.
  10. Yeah, I'm thinking I want something a little more tame. Most of the miles I put on the bike are from commuting and **I think** I'm ready for something different. I have a lot of fun putting around on my Husky 1 banger. Been eyeballing the Super Tenere's for awhile but that's a much more serious investment as is a new Strom 1K (those look pretty sweet too). Again, I'd like to ride one first.
  11. I've seen a lot of these for sale over the past year and for whatever reason, they don't seem to hold their value well. As such, people seem to sell them pretty cheap. I've kinda been thinking about either getting something like it to supplement my Z or just switching out altogether and do more distance rides. I had a Vstrom 650 about 8 years or so ago and really didn't like the engine, the bike felt like a pig. To be fair, I had been riding an FZ1 so in comparison, it was a pig. Had I been able to test ride the bike beforehand, I never would've bought it. This makes me worried that I may no't like the Versys motor so I really want to ride one first to see what I think. I missed the Kawi demo rides last year because I was out of town. Long story short, if anyone within a few hours of Cinci has one and wouldn't mind me taking a spin on it when the weather breaks, let me know. Obviously you are free to test ride my Z1000 Actually, this might make a good meet-up for a group to get a chance to ride other bikes (responsibly) since it's tough to get demo rides on new bikes.
  12. Then you could officially hang out with the FZ1OA guys at the gap rally Bill, when the weather breaks, take her on over to QS&L on bike night and leave a for sale sign on her while you chow on some wings. That place gets a lot of traffic. I just moved to the other side of town so I'm not as close to it anymore.
  13. That shirt is awesome...you should sell 'em...I'd buy a few
  14. Thanks Tonik, rep for you I see lots of thanks but few reps...slackers!
  15. I pulled a trailer down/up it. Then again, I'm a bad ass
  16. I know some are wonder - is this bike still for sale? The answer is, yep, it is. The weather is getting warm so come get it!
  17. Labs are always popular, I hope someone steps up soon. Here's one of mine wanting to get in the house after romping in the post-snow mud.
  18. My wife was treated for breast cancer last year. Even though she "beat it" (so far so good), the process and treatments take their toll on the patients and their families. It's damn hard, I know. I'm sorry for your loss.
  19. Hey, no one said anything about swallowing.
  20. What's nice on a drill is a level bubble. Screwing shit in straight is usually a good thing.
  21. Good topic. I've been considering buying a decent cordless drill and have been thinking that it would be handy to get one where you can swap the batteries with other tools of the same manufacturer (i.e. says, lights, etc). Since moving to the new house, I've been using the hell out of my drill hanging pictures and stuff and having to grab an extension cord all the time is a drag.
  22. I didn't even look at the list, I guess my theory is shit
  23. 16th is actually pretty high up there given the less than ideal riding climate a (large, this year) handful of months out of the year. I'd expect the southern and western states to have more riders simply due to the climate.
  24. I say it all the time, most people are idiots, mainly because their mental priorities are out of whack not because they are incapable of learning/retaining the knowledge. They don't know who the vice president is, where Afghanistan is located on a map, or how many oz in a gallon but they're quick to tell you how many wins x sports team had 10 years ago and what year x movie came out.
