Ok, I looked at this right after I ate a corned beef monster sandwich and thought you had somehow lights in the jacket. I need to go lay down for awhile. lol

Like most women if she didn't go around with her mouth open all of the time she would still have her teeth.

That's a beutiful pair of bikes -
Damn, I was there Saturday early for the demos. A guy went out on a Boulevard with my group and dumped it in a slow turn turn right next to me while riding his girl. Neither was hurt, just embarrassed. Never realize how heavy these bikes are until they are horizontal. The reps were talking about how the rides were behind schedule after that. My 3:00 ride didn't leave until 3:20 and it was a very "spirited run" - best of the day. Hope that didn't have a factor in this guys crash. I thought it was a pretty good event myself. Definitely pushed the decision process in my mind.

I'm at the skill level where you take curves like that at half that speed but love to watch. Is this a spectator friendly function or is it a waste of time trekking down state if you're not going to take the plunge?

....so basically what you're telling me is that this will be a never ending circle for me - always after the next best thing. I guess I can handle that.

I thought I recognized you yesterday. I remebered your bike from your profile pic. I saw you at Pony. I was leaving with my buddy and we were about 2 hours behind schedule for getting back home to the wives. He raved about the M109R too except for the fact that he caught a peg on a corner with it.

One of my best friends has a ZX9R, calls her "Ruby" cause of the cranberry metallic paint. That bike just screams. I have a thing about riding other people's bikes (dealers don't count, I'll tear their bikes all to hell lol) so I haven't ridden one.

Pony Motorsports in Westerville has the second day of their Suzuki Demo Days tomorrow. I went today and it was pretty nice. They ride in groups every half hour and the route is about 20 minutes long. The ride leaders are spirited and get you some twisties and some full speed runs. They had the GSX 600/750/1000, Hyabusa, Vstrom 650/1000, Boulevard /M109, some dirt bike and a couple of scooters including one that goes over 120 mph. everybody that rode it said it was surprisingly fast but the engine braking was too high. All you need is your endorsement. they have helmets and jackets but you can bring your own also.

I went to Pony Motorsports demo day today. Great event, they let you ride every Suzuki that the reps brought. I rode the GSX600 and 750 along with the Hyabusa and the Vstrom. Vstrom not me at all, I don't see what that bike does well. The Busa is a disaster waiting to happen in my novice hands. There is a lot of power but it is delivered smoothly and evenly. It's just real twitchy coming out of first and doesn't seemed balanced well even though it sits so low. The Gixxers ........wow. those bikes ride them themselves. They feel like they make you a better rider by just sitting on them. They will turn smoothly with just the slightest input and never seem to get unsettled. The seating position isn't perfect for me but the ride is so nice I'm thinking of jumping on it. I was wondering are there any other bikes similar in feel to them. A couple of people have told me that I have to try the Speed Triple before I buy anything. I like the naked bike look. I'm on a SV650S now and am looking to sell it and upgrade. I think the inline 4 sweetness is talking to me.

So I broke down and bought a pair of Held's Air Hero gloves. These were supposed to be the "it" gloves for summer riding and Held seems to have a good reputation so I dove in for $129.00. Their made from kangaroo leather (poor kangys ) and have pretty sturdy wrist and knuckle guards. The gimmick of them is that they use mesh in between the fingers so that air flows through them. It works pretty damn well. So well in fact that if it's lower than 65 degrees your hands will probably freeze. On a hot day it's nirvana. Anyway after wearing them for three times one of the seams came apart. Figuring these are top flight gloves so customer support should just ship me another pair no problem. NOT.... The store I bought them through - Motosports told me basically tough luck, go deal with Held. Held makes me ship them back to them at my cost and says that they will try to get them back to me in 8-10 weeks and that if it is the result of abuse they will bill me. Needless to say I'm through with both companies and wouldn't advise anyone else to deal with them on this item.

I've had a 400 since last season and have no complaints about it.

Sorry I didn't make it. I didn't finish my last demo ride until 4pm. My keister was numb all the way back anyway. This old man is only good for about 200 miles. The end result though is that my bike is up for sale. I need to get me some inline 4 sweetness.

I'm heading down from the west side of Cleveland to Pony Motorsports in Westerville early Saturday for their demo day with a buddy. If the invite is open we could hook up on the way back north if my butt isn't numb by then.

Anyone looking for a shop in the NEO area look up Roush Motorsports in Medina. They have a beautiful showroom with hundreds of bikes so at first glance it seems like a high end pricey shop. Both myself and a buddy have had work done on our bikes there at pretty reasonable rates and great service. He just had a set of Pirelli Diablos put on his bike at a crazy low price. right off of I-71 at RT 18. Haven't dealt with their bike sales team yet but thinking about giving them a go.

I'm heading down to Medina to Century Harley for their demo days. Gonna ride everything in the fleet.

I agree with all above. At minimum I'd require them to replace bar end and fairing with OEM parts and I'd pay for whatever service I brought it there for. If they ever wanted my business again they would give me the service for free for the trouble. If they balk sic your insurance company on them. If they are a reputable shop they will have their own insurance that handles situations like this. They probably just don't want to file a claim.
