  1. I more just wanna know where it came from. I feel slightly violated thinking someone was in my house. Worst case scenario of course.

At my old job at a movie theater, I was taking out quarters out of a roll of them and I found some weird "Blah blah magician" coin that was selling on eBay for $20. Could have just been mixed up like that.

  2. I bought a 16 GB Nexus 7 this year to use for school, but I.. Haven't. At all.

I have put it up on Craigslist for $160, it's in absolute new condition, but if any OR member wants it I'll get rid of it for $140.

Comes with a Zagg shield perfectly installed already, a nice mock leather case, a stylus and the charger.

The funds go towards a custom seat cover/gel install for the ZX6R. Support the cause!

    STATUS: SOLD!

I will ship it wherever so long as the costs for that are covered as well. PayPal payment is preferable.

  3. You forgot about the welfare rats.

I had a girl on my Facebook (I'm 18, she was in my grade before having a kid) post a status that she wanted to get a better job.

One of her friends suggested "taking leave and using welfare/food stamps until she got a better job/school. There's nothing wrong with taking help!"

    I hate my generation.

  4. The cynicism in this thread is astounding...

These are good dads offering up their time to make the kids feel more safe. I guarantee these same dads are also great back at home, and yet they've gone above and beyond. Even if they're unemployed, they could have just chosen to sit at home and watch the game. Instead they're at their kids' school helping out.

The kids enjoy it, it's had a great impact according to that write-up, and that's all that really matters. (Or should matter.)

  5. Thanks!

As an aside, has anyone taken the BRC-2 or ARC classes? From the descriptions i think the BRC-2 might be a little too basic still, but I'm looking for personal reviews if anyone has them. Looking to take one of these this year as they seem like a hell of a deal for some training and feedback.

I took the BRC-2 last year. It was the exact same course as the regular BRC with the exception that you use your own bike. I still got a LOT out of it, though. It's a helluva lot harder making those tight U-Turns on a 636cc machine than a 250!

I might take the ARC this year, as well.

  6. It can be done instantly. Paper copy usually takes a day or two.

    Ah, I gotcha.

They just gave me a call and said they had gotten it this morning and it said it "Wasn't available." They had messed up one of the letters in my driver's ID.. and have to send it back through. I just want to work!

Well just be careful delivering....it's not 'Leave it to Beaver' time anymore. ;)

Can I at least hope for this on the job? :D

  7. Thanks for the offer Exarch! You'll probably be seeing me tomorrow.

And yeah, I've read some pizza delivery horror stories. And the fact that pizza places mostly don't even let you carry a weapon on the job.

Papa John's has told me that they put in for an MVR (the driving record for me) and if they get it back by tomorrow I could be at orientation tomorrow and driving by the weekend (for the Super Bowl, yada yada.)

Does anybody know how on an MVR usually takes to get back?

  8. Still no luck.

But I think today I'm going to apply to as many pizza places as I can to be a driver. Does anybody have any contacts in the Dayton area to a pizza place manager or anything that could help to give me a reference?

The more I think about it, the more I think I'd actually LIKE pizza delivery. Late nights, lots of driving music.
