  1. Joe's Cycle Shop on North Dixie cuts keys for any bike. They have blanks too, so all you have to do is drop off your key and pay when you pick it up.

I can and will help you with the stuck bolts. You need to bring your bike to my house though. I have all the tools for anything the bike can throw at us with the stuck bolts and an air compressor so it would be easier to do at my house. If you want to do that I live in Jamestown.

Are you available any time soon?

Go to harbor freight site and search for rotary tool $8.99

The one for $8.99 has some bad reviews when it comes to anything past wood, but the ~$25 one has awesome reviews. That's definitely doable!

  2. Well wd-40 & graphite powder made a mess.... graphite is a dry lubricant and will clump up and make big mess... take that wd and drown the key slot over and over and over you should be able to flush the graphite out and eventually loosen it up

Will go out and try that, simply because the graphite didn't seem to make much of a difference anyways.

I REALLY hope I don't have to take apart the barrel and that a new key will solve it. Or this drowning thing...

  3. NO help here on the ignition except to try and heat it up to bent it back straight or get a new one cut. as for the bolts a dremel to cut a slit in the top and turn out with a flat head. then replace said screws is the route id take.

Darn. Was hoping a dremel wouldn't be needed. At least it's something I can re-use, I guess... Looks like I'll be spending $200 tomorrow on a dremel and drill and bits. There's no way I'd be able to hand-crank that screw with how tight it is.

I am getting a new key cut on Monday hopefully. Very much hoping that that's all that's needed, but if the key was the issue I wouldn't think I'd be able to turn the ignition at all.

  4. So I went off to ride the other day. Great ride, great day.

Only trouble is, before I left I realized that my ignition would not turn to "Off" or "Lock." It would go to "Park" (if that's what the P with lights is), and so whenever I shut the bike off I went to that. In fact, it's in "P" right now (if I can't figure this out I'll just rip the battery until I do figure it out.)

I sprayed some WD-40 and apparently that's not good enough of a fix; nor is graphite powder that I squirted in.

The key, ever since I got it, has been a bit bent. Not extremely, but the end of it is noticeably not straight. It's always worked better when I put it in with the bent portion facing a certain direction - the other direction and it's a bit harder to turn.

Any ideas on how the hell this could happen? Something in between Off and On or something? Pushing harder gives no better effect, so I think that forcing it MIGHT be more likely to just have the key break off inside the ignition.

    I are confused.

I also have 2 hex screws that are rounded-out at the top (one on the front and one on the rear caliper) that I can't for the life of me figure out a way to get out. I've tried pliers since they stick out a little bit, and that got nowhere. I'm almost tempted to buy a drill, was planning to anyways, and drill a hole in the middle of the screws. I'd rather not, though, lest I accidentally strip them.

Any ideas? Or anybody near Dayton care to let me come over and help me out? I've been able to figure everything else out up to this point on the bike, but these two littlest things suck.

  5. If I was going android right now id go for a Samsung s4. since I dont care for the size of the new Iphone I might be switching to android for my next phone in May.

Do you actually have the 5, or just used it?

I was wary of the iPhone 5's screen when I bought it a few weeks ago, but the form factor is actually really good in my eyes after using it for a while. The S3's size was also nice, of course.

  6. I accually just called verizon and ask about the way my order showed up in the email and she ask if I was happy with my time with verizon. And I told her yes except having to give up my unlimited data, then she looked at my account and told me that my daughters line was available for upgrade and if I transfered her upgrade to my line I would not lose my unlimited I was like SWEET!..so she set it all up for me. So I got a new phone and kept everytging the way it was...I'm Happy,Happy, Happy!!

Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk 2

Vereh nice. I wish any rep I've ever talked to at Verizon would be that awesome. They always seem to try and screw me around as much as possible.

Is that unlimited line on the Share Everything somehow, or do you still pay the $30/month for it?

  7. 5. Don't dog on other bros because they ride a cruiser/dirt/touring/squid bike. It is classless.... we are gentlemen, after all.

I'd like to point out that he said nothing about being nice to scooters.

  8. Alright, so I don't know if The Weather Channel app is just trying to lie to me or what, but the rain is looking less likely tomorrow. If they're right, I am definitely making a day trip down to the NKY area. Anybody care to meet up? I'll probably be heading down fairly early.

  9. Congrats, glad to hear when people take this class. You know they are serious about their riding.

This. It seems a lot of people go out of their way just to NOT take any formal classes on motorcycle riding. Anybody that I've met from a forum or that has taken the MSF course seems to always have their head on the right way when it comes to riding.

    Congrats on the completion!

  10. Yup. You bigtime riders from C-bus are obviously W-A-Y out of our league--y'all are Major League players. S'matter of fact, all us riders from Cinti are mega-pussies. And if ya pick on us anymore, we're gonna get our vaginas in a snit. 300 miles of twisties is a no-brainer. And 33 MPH is about the top speed we pussies can ride, unless we ask our Mommies permission first. And we never--repeat, NEVER--go over the posted limits, 'cause it's against the law, eh? :nono:

I promise you, this ride won't be any fun at all. Gonna be a bunch of f'n hill-billy assholes talkin' shit about how fast they ride. Yeah, right! Dice really meant to only send a PM to Big Ern, Magley and Ringo, but he hit the "Reply To All" button accidentally. If you do come south, we'll only feel inadequate next to you racer boyz in yer skin-tight leathers (altho I might get a wee bit turned on...).

And to top it all off, the roads are gonna flat-out suck ballz. Nothin' but straight lines connecting the potholes in a backwoods state that has marijuana as it's main cash crop. I mean c'mon....Rabbit Hash has a DOG as their mayor, fer cripes sake. Definitely NOT WORTH THE DRIVE. Y'all should stay home and log into OR for the weekend. Nothing to see here....move along. ;)

Oh god my sides hurt from laughing so hard.

  11. Welcome to the forum and Ohio.

As for your tires check with Z Performance on Woodman in Riverside or Vista Kawasaki on Wilmington over in Kettering.

I love Vista - great guys for any trusted service. I hang out with their mechanics for bike nights, rides, etc.

BUT they also just raised their price to $80/hour a few days ago and now to mount and balance there is like $50/$60/tire if you bring your own. They do price match tires, though, and will mount them for like half that if you buy it from them. That's my plan for next time. (No chance of a blem AND decently-priced mount. Double-win.)

  12. Have fun when you're stranded on the side of the road because shit won't start and the dealership can't figure out wtf is wrong with it

"Wut are thees weerd rocker arms?"

But then there's that Duc sound.

    April Fool's joke ?

    If not,Congrats !

    No joke.

    Until 11:59 tonight, at least...
