  1. It would also be nice if they would stop making everything pink. I like pink but don't want to look like a bottle of Pepto when I go riding. I have a hard time finding regular pants, let alone riding pants that won't be capri's on me. I want to make a trip to the Pony to check out pants but most likely they will be in the mens section...

    Sigh

Indeed, you have come a long way! I remembered helping you change your oil and now you are doing all this stuff on your own. Kudos to anyone who wants to ride and maintain their bikes properly (regardless if they are doing it or not). Thanks! I'm pretty handy but doubt myself alot. If you can help or show me once I can usually take it from there. I'm lucky to have friends that know what they're doing and are willing to help me out, not to mention I've assisted a couple guys work on their bikes too.

Silly guys and their assumptions... My favorite is going into a parts store and the silly questions you get because they think you don't know anything.
  4. You're taller than 6'1", because that's how tall I am & you're taller than me...
  5. Thanks Nivin. It was great to finally meet you. I had fun despite not being a morning person, getting only a few hours sleep, freezing my butt off and the endless fog. It probably doesn't even compare to your ride down from Michigan, that's quite the day trip to say the least.
  6. Well if Steve McQueen didn't need it... Wait, I don't really want to be like him, I just don't want my hands to fall off. And I've had the wet soggy pants from riding in the rain, it was pretty awful.
  7. I had the opposite, when I cut mine off, my helmet fit better. lol
  8. OMG car porn... Some really nice vehicles went by, most of which I will only be able to purchase in Hot Wheels versions. Great pics though!
  9. Thank you, it was good to meet you as well. That fog just plain old sucked! I may have to ask Santa for heated grips, or heated gear, or both.
  10. It was really nice to meet both of you. And nice to finally meet other women that ride. I didn't really get the chance to walk around & meet anyone else, I get social anxiety especially with large groups of people. Hopefully by the next ride I'll find a way to get over it.
  11. He may have been standing by me when you came over to say hi. My bike was next to his.
  12. One nice thing about getting up at 5:30 to go riding all day is not having to do anything with my hair. The helmet takes care of that.
  13. Yeah that was the first time I actually thought I was going to dump the bike. Not sure how that didn't happen. I just kept repeating "use the rear brake" over & over in my head.
  14. Thank you and thanks for letting me join you. I feel like we had a mini epic ride, and stopping at the Big Muskie was a nice break, except for that deep gravel. There would have been no way I could have lasted thru everything. I was beat when we jumped on the highway.
  15. I didn't hear it because i was ahead of you and I can usually only hear my dirtbike exhaust. But when you left with the med-fast group I heard it.. wow, yeah, scary.
  16. Psshh, I'm not that particular about my toes. I'm used to being passed, left behind, etc. I don't mind it in the least.
  17. Thanks Paul. I was hesitant to go on this ride for a couple reasons but I'm glad I sucked it up & went. I didn't anticipate leading part of our group thru fog & admit I was glad when you jumped ahead of me at one point. Needless to say I got ALOT of twisty road practice, enough for at least a month or so.
  18. Let me know when you get this so we can take turns revving it up in the garage.
  19. I had a great time today. Nice to meet the NEO group I rode down with. Thanks to Tonik who let me tag along back home. I had a great time riding/meeting everyone. If only the temps were slightly warmer, the fog would have lifted earlier and that damn buggy wouldn't have seemingly materialized out of nowhere. Then it may have been slightly better.
  20. welcome I have family in Bristolville, but have yet to venture out that way on my bike.
