  1. That's cool. I'm still sad that my roommate sold his. It was fun.
  2. So, she's still for sale. I've included a link to my craigslist ad, but the contact info is my roommate's, not mine. If anyone is interested, you can contact me here. I'm willing to go below my craigslist price for an OR member so that I can get her out of a crowded garage. I'll take $3,900 cash. I've got a clean title in hand. http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/4957509111.html Thanks!
  3. Moving the ride closer would make my decision to go a little easier. And aside from wearing dedicated riding/overpants I'm not sure what was wrong with my gear... I had a few layers on under my jacket & jeans.
  4. The fog last spring was somewhat scary paired with being on an unfamiliar road, a foggy visor, chilly hands, etc... it was nerve-racking. I did enjoy the day but it was brutally long for me last spring and I didn't even join in the group ride... I chalk it up as I just don't live in a convenient location and may participate in the future but it would be nice to do something slightly closer to home. Just my 2 cents.
  5. I won't be at the after party... my work holiday party is that night, so I'll be boozing it up at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame instead...
  6. Destiny... thanks to my roommate. I'm getting the new Assassin's Creed Unity soon.
  7. Beautiful bike. I want to have one someday... GLWS
  8. I overslept for work yesterday & went in over an hour late, had a meeting with my manager and got the promotion I've been pushing for. ???? Also, I hate winter and all the people in Cleveland that drive like asshats. I miss my bike, but have filled the void with a new addiction... it's called Xbox... and I just realizing thr jeans I wore to work seem too big... How long until spring???? ????
  9. I think the ride is good the way it is, just difficult for those of us that live practically in Lake Erie. It's rough to do a 12 or more hour ride (which as mentioned, means you spend the ENTIRE day on the bike) especially for those of us (me) that aren't used to doing even 6 hour rides... I would love to be able to spend time socializing with everyone and put faces to bikes to usernames, but due to the length of trekking down plus trekking back home, there just isn't time. Shit, maybe this just means I need to ride more... P.S. Riding in the fog sucks. Just sayin'...
  10. Derek, I can provide you with contact info for my friend who has a print shop. He's a stand up guy with his own business. I'm sure something could be arranged and there's no way he'd bail or go MIA...
  11. Oh you two... we should hang out so much more often...
  12. I had one of those... Until something seized (alternator maybe) about 2 years ago. Had like 260k miles on it. It was a good little car.
  13. C'mon Tim, if I can do it, so can you. I'm not fast either, ask anyone here that's ridden with me... we'll be the ones they wait for at every turn... Lol
  14. Whaaaa??? Because only I can text you... lol Um, wait a sec, talking to what dude???
  15. Don't trust Derek, his middle name is Seedy ya know.... just kidding. He's a pretty stand up guy but I haven't seen him recently so who knows.....
  16. Hot chocolate.. with tiny marshmallows too???? .....and we get to ride motorcycles for 10-12 hours... OMG, yay!
  17. Awww... But who will offer to warm my hands at BP? And who will follow me thru the fog and almost hit an Amish buggy with me??? I feel soooo much sadness now...
  18. Thanks. I figure it's got insurance and they've let me use their bikes so why not...
  19. Nope still have it, it's turned into a loaner bike - one friend had a minor accident and is waiting on insurance; and my roommate broke some bolts replacing the clutch - so they've used it so they can still go riding. Not the same as their R1's but it's a bike...
  20. I started on a Ninja 650 as my first bike - I'd never ridden before either, but I am significantly taller than the OP's spouse so I may not be a good reference. (I still have it & it's for sale btw). I thought the 650 was a good start since it had more power for highway speeds than a 250. Just my 2 cents... Good luck, I'm glad to see another lady getting into riding.
  21. I have an '07 Escape v6... I've had it since 09, and it has about 80k miles. Just 2 weeks ago I had to replace the front axle, sway bars and tie rods. This is my first Ford, I've always had Hondas & Nissans. Its very utilitarian but gets me around and the AWD works well in winter. I wish it got better mpg but it could be worse.
  22. Considering I don't have a trailer, or a hitch on my car, that's more $$$ than riding down & spending some time hanging out before heading back home...
  23. Put me down as maybe... If i do go, I'll probably skip the ride since I barely survived the spring ride. 10 hours is a long time on a bike...
  24. I knew there was a reason I liked you...
