Welcome MSF course is the way to go. And when I was looking at bikes, I sat on a 250 and it seemed small (I'm 6'1"). I ended up getting a Ninja 650r as my first bike and couldn't be happier with it (at least for now). But hey what do I know, I'm not a dude...

This is so disheartening.... I hate the winter this year and am really looking forward to it ending. At least this means I have a little more time to get in shape for the 3 days of summer we'll have this year...

I adopted a half border collie/half Australian shepherd... her energy is never-ending. She was free and although she drives me nuts, she's great. I didn't even have to teach her to play frisbee... I agree with redkow, save one don't buy one. -
I hate waking up at 4am for no reason every single night....

Funny thing... I re-read the original post and I mostly fit the qualifications, just not the overall bike knowledge, but I do have the enthusiasm. I may have to inquire about this...hmm

I've been taller than my parents since junior high. My sisters are all normal size. It wasn't until I was out of high school that I was comfortable with my height and started wearing 3 & 4 inch heels...

You are correct about it not mattering on the outside... My favorite thing is when people tell me I shouldn't wear heels because I'm already tall... its not my fault I'm so tall and you aren't.

This is true... there's still time before spring to earn extra cash or save all your pennies and find something cheap to ride if you really really wanted to.
