  1. An excellent read for sure. Felt like we were doing just that. Need to work on my entrance and exits on the corners to get the "Pace" down pat but overall not too bad for my first ride in the real "twisties."
  2. Bad, glad you got out today. I enjoyed meeting you today. Hope you feel better soon. You did good keeping up with Doc today. I did manage to stay behind you for some of it. Really appreciate you pointing out all the road hazzards along the way. Also appreciate both of you waiting for me to catch up at the intersections. Could not get around some of the traffic safely on the twisties. Will do it again. Glad you figured out the bike.
  3. Thanks Doc and Bad. Had a great time. It was great meeting both of you and riding. The day was perfect. Hopefully a few more days like this are still left over. Agreed, the pace was moderate but i stayed within my ability and it felt good. Will definetly do it again. Some day i might be as fast as you Doc...LOL. Thanks for putting the ride together. I dont know my way around those roads for sure!!! I was ready to be done when i got home but i had a lot of fun. Round trip ended being 180 miles or so.
  4. Sorry, can you pm me your number as well....kind of hard to communicate without.
  5. Great, will see you at 1 pm. Might be running a bit late unless I can leave work a little early. Google says 1:15 minutes travel time to destination. Sometimes Google is a little off on their travel timing.
  6. Sounds good to me...can you post up a meeting spot and time and route?
  7. I need to be back home by 4:30 pm to get the kids picked up to go trick or treating. I can break off from the group as necessary. Hopefully can get in a good run if we don't go so too far south. Don't want to be the cog in the wheel though.
  8. Off work at 11:30 am, then might consider going if I can make it down by the meet time. Would be my first group ride with the OR!!!
  9. Hope it wasnt that back tire that got you into trouble? Glad you are ok. Was thinking about doing that ride today but 27 degrees deterred me.
  10. Really hate to but I have to bow out as this is a long way to go for me with temps in the 40's to start. Was really hoping the temps would recover sooner, but just isn't going to be too much fun with it that cold. Ride safe and post up some pics and video when possible. Should be a pretty ride if the sun comes out.
  11. Romney understands business, money and taxes so much more than Obama...that showed a lot. I like him more now than before. The government can't control everything. There are not enough tax dollars for that.
  12. bump...Isle of TT races are on DirecTV channel 281 on the Velocity channel...wow, this is crazy racing!!! On now...
  13. Description says roughly 30 hours of video time to make....but wont view on mobile device? Oh well...back to the computer to watch this.
  14. Praying for a speedy recovery...good teaching lesson on the importance of full gear, no doubt. That's the one thing I fear the most about street riding being a newb.
  15. BTW, how many miles will the trip to Delaware be? Kind of far from Charleston? Will you be slab'n it most the way?

  16. Sorry, thought about the fact that I am only responding on my own page....didn't know how you'd get a notification on my response now I know. It's gotten way too cool for us all of a sudden. Makes riding very cold. My first season of riding I know that I won't go too far when it's in the 50's. It eventually sucks the heat right out of you. Hope the Oct 6 ride is a lot warmer or I won't attempt it.

  17. okay....no problem. Probably be next spring then? Just went and did a quick ride last night with another OR member through the Cuyahoga Valley and Brecksville Reservation last night. Was a little cold when I got home...55 degrees. Put on 71 miles. Time to put the liner back into the leather jacket. Not used to these cold temps on a bike.

  18. I saw that...bummer man. Let me know when you are up for a ride.

  19. Definitely trying to get a group together to go down from the Ravenna area. You from the Kent or Brady Lake area? Isaac Pappa is also interested. So far there are 3 for sure.
  20. Alright...sounds like a deal. Hope you can make it back for the Dream Ride. If it works out, sounds like a few from the Ravenna area will meet up and head down to Bolivar to meet others. Stay tuned as the date gets closer.

  21. Sounds like there are a few of us, (3 or 4) from the Ravenna area that could meet and go down from there to Bolivar to meet NinjaDoc's group at DQ. I am interested. Anyone have any ideas tentatively?
  22. Been to Charleston...liked the city from the historical perspective. Hope you get a chance to get back for a ride.

  23. cool, anytime you want to do a short ride after work or quick weekend ride, pm me ahead and we can plan it. It would be fun. I feel fall coming!!! Do you live there with your parents in Aurora?

  24. Brownsfan1, I am not too far from you and I am planning my first group ride down. I am just north of Ravenna, actually Freedom Twp. probably 15 minutes from you. Maybe we could meet up with Issac Pappa from Ravenna and go on down to meet the NinjaDoc's group?
  25. Thanks for sharing...worth it to watch. Don't take anything for granted, especially your health.
