  1. Volvo is a great company. Good stuff here.
  2. Cool video, and props to the drivers for keeping it on the lines. I am definitely interested in monitoring the strength and longevity of this front suspension. This is a technology which is LONG overdue for this application.
  3. Go figure. I would bring out both of my Mazdas if I had better notice, but I am already scheduled to travel this weekend. Any idea if something like this is going to happen in the spring?
  4. I collect old chainsaws. I can guarantee that you can find a good used chainsaw for between $20-40 which you can use for many years to come. If you find one that doesn't run, it's usually a good carb cleaning away from being a great saw.
  5. Rocky is smaller than I am. I fit. Kinda.
  6. Awesome. If I am in town that weekend, I'll be there.
  7. *sigh* I need to just buy mine back and stick it in a garage somewhere so I at least have it. If I didn't have this overwhelming urge to build a minty GVR4 next, I would likely have done it already.
  8. I'll just wait three or four years and buy one for like $15k :gabe:
  9. I need a 4-channel amplifier if anyone has one for sale. I see a few on CL, but I fear buying anything car audio related on there. Since nothing shady ever happens on CR, I figured I would ask here first.
  10. Swype = :gabe: Every time I turn it off, I keep Swyping my finger. Fuck.
  11. Bill took my Bronco in recently because it was only running on seven cylinders, and it popped a steering pressure line (all hell broke loose). I just got it back from him yesterday, and it is running better than ever. He even hooks CR members up with awesome pricing. Thanks Bill!
  12. Jesus. That's not a phone friendly site. At least not my phone. Either way, I got about halfway through before my phone freaked out. Is this really that bad? There are alternatives to lead, but I can't help but think that there's a more underlying intent.
  13. Oh I'm sure that the neighborhood isn't bad, but that gas station sure is. I just know that I'm thankful for my CCL when I'm there because I'm always watching for some dude to fly out of the station, with a case of beer under his arm, looking for a quick escape lol. That is the very first (and likely last) compliment I have ever gotten on the hood. I wish I felt the same about it. Compared to most of the heavy hitters in Columbus, it's not that fast. I enjoy it at the current power level though. The color probably receives the most compliments. It's actually GM Laser Blue, and it's definitely a good looking color on this car. I would like to have it repainted within the next few years, and it will be tough for me to not go with the same color. Though, I have been thinking about a gunmetal grey for a while. Thanks for the compliments!
  14. Not completely, but it certainly helped. I think it's just time for an ignition upgrade with new plugs.
  15. Thanks! It was good to meet you. It sounds and runs far better than it looks though. I'm still working on all of that. Thanks! Yep, that's the sketchy ass gas station I was at. Never a dull moment there.
  16. Thanks for the help today, Thorne. Good event!
  17. I fixed it. I was on my phone last night so I just re-quoted without editing. No, I am in Portsmouth this weekend. I will be out next weekend. The wiring was such a mess. Kevin got it back to where it needed to be finally. Thanks! It's a half-bridgeport with RA seals, full-premix, 850cc primaries/1660cc secondaries, PowerFC, Defined V-Mount, and a PTE 6766. I ordered the turbo through Lee Howie since he knows the owner (Harry). When Lee finally gave it to me, he said "that's not a stock 6766 anymore...I made it a little different." At first I was all and then I was all :masturboy: (for those of you who know Lee) Eeeeeeeeeeewww. I apologize that your brain had to actually process that eyesore. Yeah, I'm hoping that it will start appreciating in the next few years. Right now, they are going down in value, but the numbers keep dropping due to people wrecking them (even in Columbus, I have heard of three this year). Thanks for the kind words everyone! It was a weird adjustment for me to accept paying someone else to finish this car due to at least two extreme life changes. I only did about 10-15% of the work on this car, much unlike my Talon (for those who remember) where I did 90+%. When I brought the car to Kevin, it was a shell with a bare engine in it. I had freshly bead-blasted all of the engine pieces, and painted them. I sanded, primered, painted, and cleared the engine bay. Lastly, I was able to get the engine in place, and bolt it all up. That's was how the car sat until I brought it to him. I must say, the props on this one go to Kevin. I just did the research, chose the modifications, and footed the bill.
  18. I'm certainly not the one who should be thanked. However, you're welcome. Thank you for bringing the ol' Mazda back to life.
  19. Yes, I am getting the ShineAuto Feed replica hood. It currently has a "vented hood" thanks to the previous owner getting a bit too carried away with an angle grinder. I refuse to post pics of that bastardization :dumb: It's the first thing on the list to go.
