  1. Is this in hopes that she will want to ride with you more often, or is this in hopes that she will be more accepting of you getting the bike you want? If the bike you tease her with is not the very one that you want to end up with, there could be attitude directed at you, down the road. Put her on the very bike you dream of her enjoying, with you. If she is happy with it, and talks about it the next day with a smile on her face, your chances are good that she'll want to be your riding partner, often. .

  3. Really. It's give and take. But, there are limits. As long as they are generally happy with their arrangement, and it works for them, I'm happy for them. .
  4. By not knowing the law, we allow ourselves to be treated as they wish to treat us. We should have never let it get this far. http://www.tyrannybusters.org/pages/sublev/highway.htm http://forum.grasscity.com/politics/1227205-right-travel-unmolested.html
  5. Allowing the "other" to make your plans for you is putting yourself on a string like a marionette. No thanks, I'll make my own plans. .

    WTF??

This may have been payback on someone who gave the guy a problem. He may have recognized the bike as he was passing and decided it was his chance to even the score. .
  7. Yes, that's what you stated. That's very close to the arrangement last time, other than where to park. Sorry to muddy up the works, if you think I was doing that. I'll just sit back with my box of popcorn and watch. .
  8. So, you're the F'ker I've been looking for. I almost never found that key. .
  9. I think you guys failed to see the bigger picture. This was not an assignment of riders to groups. This was a picture of where deficiencies were for leads and sweeps according to the number of participants we had posted at that time. Names were dropped in for purposes of illiustration, and based on type of group riders wished to be with. It is useful information if you choose to make use of it. .
  10. I do know to make a left onto 669 in Crooksville, and not end us up in Zanesville. I'll consider leading a Sloooow group, but I'm not committing myself yet. I still have to see if I can get off work for this, and if the weather is crappy, I'm staying home.
  11. I do not know the route. I may take a map and ride it ahead of time if I get the chance, but this ride is two weeks away and I have only four days off work between then and now. Getting the weatherman to do his part is the problem. I'm not leaving the house if the temperature is in the 40's. . . .
  12. The only concern I would have about this is if they are dropping into a group that already has a maximum number of riders in it. They will not know that. I would suggest that it be emphasized that riders join a group one degree slower than they think they are skilled for so that the need to drop to a slower group would be less likely. .

Expect many more riders to show up. .
  14. It's not nearly as tall as the Connie. The Triumph Trophy fits me pretty well, also. They have/had one at the Pony. A 2013 w/15K mi. A guy traded it in on an Indian. I really liked it, but I'm not ready to fork out 16G's. It was all bagged out and ready for traveling. .
  15. I might get camping gear and an FJR. I would finance the rest. .
  16. Thanks, Nivin. I needed that. Now, I'm going to dinner. .
  17. This was just an idea for future large gatherings. .

  19. I agree with the ten minute separation between groups. It could easily take an hour to get everyone beyond the starting line, but it would be organized much better that way. I also like the idea of a second route to start groups on. First group takes Route A, second group takes Route B, third group takes Route A, fourth group takes Route B, etc. That would create enough separation between skill levels to minimize catching up to the group ahead of you. First group would return to the start point, take a small break/refuel/go pee, then they would go on Route B. Second group would return, then go on Route A. Everyone would return to the starting point for festivities after the ride. The place to do this would be near a four-way intersection that would allow for a routes to go in two separate directions. I really like this idea. . .
  20. This corrects/updates only the categories indicated below and reflects what I understand the current structure to be, as of 3:30pm, Tuesday, April 29th. I have no access to the front page and cannot place any updated information there but I do wish it was there for all to see. This is not engraved in stone. Some LEADs and Sweeper are placed in positions with the question of them actually attending. Even I still don't know if I'll be able to get off of work for this. I'll know, hopefully, before the end of this week. We do need LEADs and Sweepers. Step up! Information on this page updates only what is indicated here. The remaining, unaltered information in Post #246 should still be valid. At this point, I am stepping back and letting Derek do his thing, unless I am asked for assistance. This is work, especially with only one monitor, and scrolling up and down searching for information. If I ever step in on my own again without being asked, someone please cut my fingers off. The rest can be used to form and fill a third Medium Group if necessary. Thank you. Bad324 and Mykill, how many are you willing to absorb into your hand selected group, and who are they. 21. I'm inclined to agree, given that I've listed out the current structure of where people wished to be placed and who has stepped up to LEAD/Sweep. But, what's the point of even having an event/ride if everyone takes off in their own little packs at their own pace? That leaves out the single riders. Plus, people can plot their own routes without needing to attend the event. .
  22. But, you can sweep the fast group, right? FAST!! jschaf (LEAD) OhioFZ6's +1 WHO ELSE IS IN THIS GROUP? Tpoppa (Sweeper) .
