Iron Pony is close to the path I take home from work, so I find myself stopping in there about once a month, if not to purchase, just for the pleasure of browsing and looking at bikes I've only read about and seen pictures of. I think the store itself is a rider's fantasy land. No need to go many other places to check items off of your Christmas wish list. Marc Iafolla and Josh Lynn are always helpful whenever I'm trying on bikes for size. They take their time to talk about what may be a good match for your needs, dreams, and fantasies. These guys are a big part of what makes going there a pleasant experience. The parts counter. I never feel rushed there. They've always been more than helpful and full of great advice. Even the keeper of the gate at the security desk has been pleasant. I'm just happy I don't have to drive half way across the state to get there. It's a one stop shop for me. For icing on the cake, Schmidt's Sausage Hous had a truck outside the door one day last week. So, I was even able to have my dinner there after browsing through the store. You can't beat that. .

I want to do these things. I have to get some camping gear and plan way ahead for it. .

If it was a 130/70 R17, we could slap it on the rear of my bike so I could go down to Hocking Hills and burn those ridges back down into the proper tire profile, for you. I would return it all better, minus about 250 miles of life, and maybe a little "burnt" odor.

I bought one of those $20 magnets from Iron Pony when I got my bike. It has double sided sticky tape so you can stick it anywhere under your bike. Just make sure to clean the spot well before you try to make it stick. There's only one traffic light that I've had an issue with since then. You only need to buy one. I thought it was $20 well spent. .

It's time to put a tire on the rear of the GS 500. The tires on it came with the bike. They have 7700 miles on them. I'll take any advice you would like to give. Front: 110/70 R17 Rear: 130/70 R17 I would like tires I can ride safely in the rain with, can carve twisty roads at a quick pace, and will last me a while. I'll probably get them from Iron Pony and have them put them on. I'll also have them check the brakes and all that. So, what are some tires that would be right for my bike? And, should I go ahead and get a front tire put on while I'm at it? Thanks. .

I may have made a suggestion or two that was considered. It appears everything was in good hands and ran well, and I'm pleased with that. I'm especially pleased that no shiny bike parts got scuffed up and that those frozen smiles, upon arrival, were warm smiles on the way home. I'm thinking about a ride down to the Big Musky Bucket on the weekend of the Gap trip, for those of us who can't get away to slay the Dragon. Still thinking about it. Let you know. .
