  3. To much Ginger on Ginger violence for my taste.
  4. Just getting broke in. My Integra (boosted @ 7 psi, 50% power increase) is bone stock internals with the factory clutch. It sees 9000 rpm on an almost daily basis. I take it to the track all summer long and just generally beat the hell out of it. I have not been stranded yet and have not had any major repairs. It has been boosted for 3 yrs now.
  5. Saw a good deal on one....$5200 2006 Si Don't know a lot about them though.

Don't you kind of need to know their price in order to beat it? Hence, tell me their price and I will beat it.
  7. You got it backwards. The problem is airbags WERE extremely powerful. Airbags are now less powerful and more intelligent. Before it was a crash sensor and a detonator. Oh, no crash inflate bag! Now there are weight sensors multiple crash sensors etc. Now they can deploy a passenger airbag slightly after a driver's for a frontal offset crash, not deploy if it is a lighter person or if they are not wearing belts, etc etc. They also deploy slower with less force.
  8. I would recomend shutting off the airbag and enjoying the day. Easy way if it doesn't have a shut off and you don't want to put one in, pull the airbag fuse.
  9. I believe the first half of that so I will believe the second.
  10. I bought my first car at 14 and was driving with temps by 14 yr. 9 mo. My first accident of any type was when I was 18. I was well into my car collection. My Dad had co-signed for my fist loan (1989 Camaro RS). I thought it was the greatest thing. I drove it for a few months then went off to Tech School. Early the next summer I came home and I was on a date with this girl. She said "I don't know how you drive this thing, I can't even see where it ends." A few minutes later as I pulled into a parking spot in a parking garage I smushed the nose on the wall. Splintered paint everywhere and as I backed up it popped back out. I didn't go out with her again after that jinx. lol
  11. 28 mpg combined http://www.mpgfacts.com/?did=75&year=1985
  12. You can have fun and be responsible. I had many things break because of beating on the car but, parts are a lot easier/cheaper to replace then a wrecked car.
  13. Your missing the preceding events to the question. The issue was not that it wasn't his name on the card. It was the person who gave out the card (whose name was on it).
  14. RockAuto seems to be the best I can find. I just bought a Main Relay for my Integra for $20 shipped and it was here next day. Next closest I could find was almost $40. Hate not having my part instantly but, I can wait for their prices.
  15. I didn't wreck my first, second, third, etc car on until about my 12th. It all depends on what you do with your car and how careful you are. If you go out and drive like you are invincible, yea it's gonna be smashed.
  16. well I just submitted my registration to COS hopefully I will soon own one. I think I am going to hunt out a Outback Sport or Impreza 2.5RS.
  17. I do the same and my car isn't even worth that much.
  18. N/A and automatic are fine by me. It is going to be her DD not our Hot Rod. About the only mods I can think I would want to do is a free flowing air filter. Really just something she can drive every day all year and it would be nice if it was able to take us on our vacations to go camping etc.
  19. From what I can tell, I think I am going to be looking for a mid to late 90's Impreza or Outback. She really likes the Outback Sport from that era. I am hoping to stay under $5k. Looks like I may be looking for one with a popped head gasket and fixing it.
  20. If you are going to be in Marysville area I can hook you up. I have a Snap-On scan tool that reads Air Bag lights.
  21. How much should I expect to pay for a decent Subaru? I am not looking for a STI or anything like that. I just want a basic AWD DD. This would be the girlfriend's car so I want it to be reliable but, as always the cheaper the better. I am wondering what kind of miles can be seen on these cars before they are not worth anything. What are the big problems to look for on older, higher mileage cars?
  22. Honda...any type. GREAT gas mileage and you can do a few small things while waiting to get your "hot rod". Throw some nice summer wheels on it, but a decent radio in it, keep your self happy doing all of the small tune-up stuff that will actually net you slightly better performance and will increase your gas money. All the money you save in gas will be more to set aside for your next toy. I would HIGHLY recommend something as stock as possible and with VTEC. The stock aspect saves you from fixing some other kids mistakes when trying to get 20 hp with this mod his friend told him about. The VTEC will make the car feel like it can actually get out of it's own way and increase your gas mileage.
  23. I can pick them up tonight if he falls through. 937-243-4521
