  1. Oh wait, this is at Crosswoods... That's really close to me, I thought it was downtown for some reason. I may be there.
  2. I have a gopro hero 3 black edition i usually mount off the side of the tank hanging down, then a contour +2 as a helmet cam.
  3. Got a camera eh? Sorry I haven't gotten any footage of our rides up yet, I'll try to get 669 up sometime the next few days. You planning on riding Sunday at all? I might be up for something then, Sunday's supposed to be pretty nice weather wise, low 70's for the high and no rain.
  4. Surprised there are this many other PC gamers here... I built mine way back in 2009 then continued upgrading it. I got an i7 920 back then and really have seen a need to upgrade the processor since then. To give it a boost I got a Noctua D14 cooler and overclocked it from stock 2.66ghz to 3.8ghz about 2.5 years ago. Currently it's: i7 920 @ 3.8ghz ASRock X58 Xtreme motherboard 12GB Kingston DDR3 1600 2x GTX 680(1 EVGA. 1 Asus) in SLI 3x Dell U2211H monitors for NVSurround Corsair TX750 PSU Sandisk 120gb SSD, 3x SATA 1-2TB drives Windows 7 Professional 64-bit I may entertain a new build once the next gen console come it since that's usually what drives gaming tech/graphics forward in general. Things have been pretty stagnant with the PS3 and 360 being so old, upgrading your processor has been relatively pointless as long as it's a decent quad core.
  5. Any major damage from the previous owner laying it down? This would be incredibly tempting if I didn't already have a very similar street bike... Eyes set more on a track bike now.
  6. I was running novice too (first day), what bike was she on? Here's the "buzzing" I got. Caught up to a slow rider, wanted to pass, but didn't think I had room and backed off (think he had a supersport 600 so it accelerated quicker than mine when he decided to), then 2 passed me on each side, then instructor went after them starting at 6:20
  7. I don't recall that, but there were a couple guys that passed me pretty damn close on each side of me at the same time on the front straight, an instructor looked like he went after them for it.
  8. Lol, my mistake, is it John then? If not, i give up. It'd be nice to do another in August, but I doubt I'll have another bike by then unless i find a good deal on something for 2000-2500. More than likely I'll be waiting till next season.
  9. I guess maps are different online... This is what i was looking athttp://new.experiencemotorsports.com/upload/images/Mid_Ohio_track_map.jpg Last curve before the front straight
  10. Think I saw this bike yesterday (7/16) in one of the garages during my track day.
  11. Had my first track day 7/16 in the Novice group. Had 1 close call where I went off the track slightly after turn 15, I cut in too early and got on the throttle causing me to go wide slightly, onto the yellow curb and into the grass after it a bit, but recovered (tried not to panic on the brakes or handlebars and let the bike do its thing). Other than that had tons of fun and I'm hoping to get a bike to dedicate to track days and either a pickup, cargo van, or trailer for transportation. After having done this with my 919, I'm thinking an SV650 isn't going to have enough power, it's got ~60% of what my 919 has, and my 919 feels slow on the straights to me so I'm thinking either a 600 or 750. I'm sure tons of you could ream me for how bad my body positioning, etc is in the videos and pics, but it was my first Novice, I think I did alright, but definitely tons to learn. I rode down with Brad who ran in advanced and got 2 PR lap times breaking into the 1:38's. We also used R1 Dave's trailer he kept down there since he had his first race today (Wednesday), big thanks to them for the ride, help and trailer/canopy use. 12. Yeah, bringing a cooler full of water and gatorade... I was sweating buckets just taping up the light, turn signals and removing the license plate in jeans and a t-shirt... Full leathers standing/sitting around's gonna be brutal when we're not running.
  13. Bike prepped and gear ready for first Novice http://imageshack.com/a/img545/3504/v98j.jpg http://imageshack.com/a/img855/176/2btc.jpg
  14. I'm doing my first Novice Tuesday the 16th. The guy I'm going up with will be running in Advanced though.
  15. I may go Saturday if I don't have to work at all.
  16. I understand time limits for editing posts, but it seems like it's ~5-10 minutes... Way too low, should at least be an hour or two.
  17. Interest piqued... Seems like a good value with the Penske and Ohlins suspension components. I don't know anything about that model in particular though, or how pricey/difficult to find Aprilia parts are. -Also, why selling? Not doing track days anymore?
  18. #1 - I did in post #13 This goes for you, and anyone else on here really... Use searchtempest for searching craigslist. You can enter a zipcode and radius to search. I usually put in 150 mile radius, easier to find good deals that way instead of just searching by individual city in craigslist. It's not perfect (some dead links from old posts), but it's better IMO: http://www.searchtempest.com/results.php?search_string=yamaha+r6&category=8&Region=na&cityselect=zip&location=43081&maxDist=150&region_us=1&srchType=&keytype=adv&minAsk=&maxAsk=&subcat=mca
  19. I don't think so, I got my first (and only) ticket in 2007. No points and only $80. It was a stupid ticket from a Worthington cop with a little freeway jurisdiction on 315, cited for 77 in a 65 while passing another car. Probably the only reason I was even pulled over is because it was like 3:00 am.
  20. Also, I don't know what you're doing, but NADA value states average retail = $3,300. Blue Book States $3,210 for retail... Selling privately = not as much as retail. http://www.nadaguides.com/Motorcycles/2005/Suzuki/SV650SK5-645cc/Values http://www.kbb.com/motorcycles/suzuki/sv650s/2005-suzuki-sv650s/suggestedretailvalue/
  21. Post # 36, you said you'd do 3k for it: http://ohioriders.net/index.php?/topic/101795-sv650-vs-sv1000-vs-gsxr-750-vs-for-track-days/page-2 NADA/Blue Book values are not necessarily what you should expect to get out of your bike/car etc. It's simply worth what someone's willing to pay at the time you want to sell.
  22. This is the reason I'd never have a pure sport bike as my only street bike. You really don't lose much in handling/performance even for aggressive street riding by going with a more upright naked/standard bike. You end up thanking yourself for commuting purposes and longer trips. I personally wouldn't even be considering an SV650S if my main purpose wasn't to track it, not as comfy as my 919. You mentioned $3k before. I'd be willing to go that, but not more.
