  1. This is right down the street from my house. I drive by a lot and have been meaning to stop in there. We worked on his truck at work a few weeks ago. I thought it was called The Boom Store (actually considered Orient). Seemed like a nice guy.

The Boom Store sounds right actually, good call. And yea, Orient/southern GC. whatevs.

  2. So i had drove past this place a few times before, but finally stopped in to see what its all about. Not to be confused with Boom Boom Tactical though. Unless i misread, this is called The Boom Store and is in southern Grove City/Orient. An older gentleman named Stacey runs the small store out of the back of his truck towing business. Its a very small shop with limited handguns and some long guns. Prices compete with others if not better in some departments. Ammo is in full supply is all calibers from what i seen as well. Stacey said he opened the store last Dec saying hes always wanted to do it. Seemed like a pretty nice guy and was more than willing to talk guns and let you see as much as you wanted. Just wondering if anyone else had heard of this shop, and if not, getting the word out for a nice little spot.
  3. You really ought to check out Vertical Adventures off Busch Blvd. A lot of good routes that change frequently, from skill levels beginner to advanced.

Up until a year ago or so, I hadn't been climbing as frequently as I used to. I used to manage the climbing wall at Galyan's before and shortly after it changed over to Dick's Sporting Goods. The wall was a 47 1/2' wall, which made it one of three tallest indoor walls at the time. I was climbing and bouldering that thing day in and day out for years. We had a lot of really good climbers come in that taught me quite a bit. I was climbing routes as hard as 5.10/5.11 but the rating system has changed in the past few years, and not really sure where I stand anymore. I could probably get my core strength back after some time, but I really miss having the chance to climb every day.

Anyhow, I'll help if I can.. I wanna get going again with my lady.

Ive been in Vertical Adventures, but never climbed. Going to start with the free outdoor wall at Scioto park because......free. Then eventually move into sport climbing, etc. I hear ya on the core strength part though, its been a while since ive climbed, and ive put on some extra weight to move up a wall.

  4. So the wife and I decided we wanted to get into rock climbing and bought the basic essentials, harness', rope, ATC. Plan on climbing the wall at Scioto park then elsewhere. I used to work at the rock wall in the Westerville Rec Center back in high school, but that was pretty limited climbing and havent really done it since and this is the wifes first time. Just seeing if anyone on here is avid climbers and or has any tips on anything.

Thanks. I was happy to find that style of intake in a flat black since it matched so well with the exhaust.

  6. The filter looks out of place, but everything else is fantastic! I am a major fan of flat black.

Yea i know what you mean. Keeping it for this season, but might change depending on which route i take the bike.

New shorty rear fender looks soooo much better than stock.

It actually is a stock fender, just cut it in front (near the engine) and moved it to make it work. Had to cut the fender struts as well.

  7. Bought new in Feb

How she sits for now - removed front fender and reflectors, relocated turn signals lower on the triple tree, V&H shortshots exhaust and tuner, Figure Machine Air cleaner, removed the belt guards, chopped the rear fender and struts, relocated the brake/turns, fabricated a license plate bracket out of the old belt guard. Still plenty left to do, but its getting there.

  8. All white dots in front and rear sites fell out in first 150 rounds fired.

Same thing happened to my M&P9c after about the same amount of rounds. Good excuse to upgrade to night sights though.

  9. We got married at Oakhurst Country Club in Grove City. Was the best deal we found. If i remember correctly we paid right around 5k for a ceremony and reception. Got a deal for having the wedding early in the day (1030am) and they managed to give us the off wedding season rate. Only thing we had to do extra was cake, DJ and clothing. Didnt bother with a Photographer since her aunt had a nice camera, and didnt do an open bar since we did an early wedding. Save money where you can. Although we both agree that if we had to do it again we would do it cheaper. Like back yard style and city BBQ cater or something. Spending even as little as we did, is still spending alot of money on a few hours.
  10. The percentage of people who return to a full healthy life after an arrest is very slim (around 5%). And that number decreases with age, and the length of time in arrest as well. So likely she didnt make it.

On a side note, i heard Obama received and Honorary Masters or Doctorate degree from OSU. Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.......................Wheres mine.

  11. I would say take advantage of the friends and have them show you the basics. I think thats how everyone learns really. Start with friends at a range and work your way onto a course and put it all together. Itll be a slow process, but youll get ahold of it with time.
