  1. Like many of the previous posts have pointed out above, the larger sport touring bikes (vfr, st, fjr, & C14) will have smooth power, wind protection, and the can give plenty of room for storage. If your heart is set on less than 1000 cc, you may want to consider either the new Ninja 1000 or a Wee Strom. There is a good article on last month's Cycle World about the new Ninja. It has add-on hard saddle bags as an option. Both sizes of the V-Strom have a significant aftermarket parts availability. You can increase the windshield size and add on hard cases.

  2. Does the link have something to do with the Russian military training near the Ukraine?

I think allowing gays to adopt the Ukrainian children would not only about Putin, it would annoy 40 something percent of Americans.

  3. You need a new wife. First time I took Mrs. Tonik through the dragon about a mile in she leaned forward and said go faster.

Sounds like you got a good wife. On my old cruiser, my wife used to tell me to slow down before I was even dragging the floorboards. I had to sell my cruiser because the floorboards and freeway bars were getting ground down every time I went near anything with curves. I thought about seeing if she wanted to do the Epic Ride 2 up on the C14, but it would probably just make her real nervous. I want to enjoy the ride. Now with a sport-tourer, I get the best of both worlds.

  4. Welcome to the forum. As far as speed limiters go, all ZX14's have them. You're limited to 186mph. Every bike built after 2000 that is capable of exceeding 186 is electronically limited to 186.

Nothing a good reflash of the ECU can't cure.

  5. A couple of years ago my neighbors talked my wife into signing up for a half marathon. It took 4 or 5 beers until they could talk me into it. We have since ran 4 half marathons together, and we are scheduled for our 5th in May. I don't particularly like running, but I really enjoy the benefits. At this stage in life, I will never be big and strong. I just want to be healthy and fit. Good luck to all that work on their fitness and health. It is one of the key predictors of contentment in life.

  6. We will have no enlightened conversation here. Only closed minded partisan bickering. Any thought of living within your means will be quickly discounted by both groups of partisans.

  7. Can you place the EZ Pass in the clear spot in a tank bag (spot used for holding GPS units)? If not, can I zip tie it to my ram -mount GPS holder that is attached to my clutch reservoir? I don't mind buying an easy pass, but I don't want to buy a mount that I will only use once. I don't travel on toll roads very often, maybe once every few years.
