  2. but I'm sure my daughter hates it more. We've been stuck here at Childrens since thursday afternoon. She's had 2 MRIs, and a spinal tap, so they can tell us that it looks like she has a viral infection of her optic nerve. There's some fancy name for it, but I can't think about it right now. We'll be here until monday getting steroids through her IV. She's being a better trooper then my wife and I, and should be fine. If the steroids work she should be getting her sight back to normal soon. She can't see very well right now especially with her left eye. BTW, I don't feel like being a hardass anymore, its been a real 36 hours, so to those of you with some bullshit to say, fuck you.

  8. Great chassis, great powertrain, cool build. I'm sure we'll both get bashed by the Gm in a Ford haters, but I'd love to do a similar project. Look forward to seeing it out.
  9. QFT I haven't worked on any Saabs of that era, as I'm sure you're at least familiar. If its like the ecotech then my previous statement about using 4 spark plug wires to jump the coil pack to the plugs helps diagnos which cylinder. If it is a turbo car then that does complicate it some, just more stuff to look at really.
  10. Google master cylinder bench bleed, then install and proceed with normal bleed.

  12. If it has something to keep the threaded rod from spinning. I've seen pictures of a similar tool, but I've always done fine with a couple long bolts and washers.
  13. Metro Industies on Goodale. Get a couple different lengths, they keep the bolts in stock. I've tried getting a decent installer but even the shit GM lists as special tools to put it on is junk. The bolts are the way to go.

  15. Well I can honestly say I've never worked on one. If it were me I'd want to know if it was missing on one cylinder or if the miss is all over the place. Unfortunatly this is a lot harder to figure out without a scan tool to show you live misfires. Could very well have had other issues and now has a clogged cat. If it's what I'm picturing I have a set of 4 spark plug wires that I connect between the plugs and the DIS to make it easier to diagnose. If this is at your house Jason I can swing by on my way home, but I'm on my bike today and can't bring much with me. You have my number?
  16. What engine is it? I'm not picturing what it is specifically you're working on.
  17. Do you have a test light? That can be wedged between the spark plug boot to test for spark (and I don't mean puncture, I mean between the boot and the wire), it can be hooked up backwards to check for injector pulse. I'd look at the plugs themselves and see if they look gas fouled or lean, or see if you can narrow down to one cylinder.

  19. may not have an EGR, if it does it's got to be connected somewhere between the exhaust and intake. Some are connected through the head but would have a solenoid on one side or another.
  20. Well I always start with spark and fuel. Does it have spark on all cylinders? Fuel pressure good? Injector pulse? Yes I'm saying start from scratch, no I wouldn't assume any of the undoubtably cheap parts on the car are good. Start with the above, and go from there.

  22. I'm not sure if its diagonal but it likely is, check the opposite rear for lock up. I've seen masters cause lock up like that before, basically stopping the fluid from flowing back when the brakes are released.
