  1. I know that this either is or was the law, I'm under the impression that this has changed to excessive speed. Either way I think the points are about the same. When I got reckless op about 5-6 years ago it was simply 91 in a 45.
  2. Well I missed that then, but reckless op is a court appearence, at least it was when i got mine, and it was brought to my attention recently that you had to be doing something other then just speeding to get reckless op, at least thats what I heard. So what was it reckless op street racing? Don't see how he doesn't have to go to court.
  3. Your post don't make sense, how can you get a ticket for street racing (its in the title), be going over 100 (which is excessive speed) both of which are required court appearences or so I thought, plus you said he must not have had his radar on you and you have a chance at fighting it, but you say no court appearence required. I'm calling bullshit, you got pulled over on some dumb shit and you're trying to play it up.
  4. Personally I have no issues with a SA asking questions, because I feel that the better he explains it to the customer the less likely it is for issues to arrise. Some techs take it as an insult but most who are confident in what theyy are doing will simply answer them. Same thing goes the other way, I ask all type of questions of my SA, and will make him call the customer if he can't answer the important ones. The more info going back and forth the better.
  5. If you have to tell a seasoned tech how to diag an intermittant no start he isn't much of a tech. Now if it won't act up while he's looking at the car thats a different story. If he tests to charging system while he's at it and sees that the battery tests bad, it's the service advisors job to tell the customer "hey we haven't got your car to act up, but while we were checking it out the battery seems to be on its way out".
  6. Well you won't make it as a tech if you hurt your back every time you work on something. No shit, I know techs who would gladly hit a service advisor for shit like this. I'm actually pretty easy going.
  7. So you got busted huh? I'll await detail when I see you.
  8. honestly I forgot all about that
  9. I'm thinking in the 4 hour range, but I've never done it before and I don't think I'll do it without stopping.
  10. Well knowing how things go when I try to do stuff like this, I'm going to do this regardless so if you guys get inspired to do your own cruise, get stuck at work, or just hang out at home, its all good. I've been hearing about the triple nickel for some time and I want to see it. So I'll be leaving from Cars and Coffee whenever that winds down and heading east getting off 70 as soon as I get east of Columbus. Heading out 204, and over to the 555. I figure I'll follow it all the way till it ends, then loop around to Athens and back up 33. Looks like it'll be a cool day without rain. I'm open to suggestions, but I want to see this area of Ohio as I've never been out there, especially the 555. Anybody wants to come is welcome, but this is intended to be a fly by the seat of the pants type thing that I like doing. I will be in my Miata by myself, enjoying the scenery. Come along if you want.
  11. I'll be there, don't have to work until next saturday.
  12. I only have acess to asphalt and gravel at work so I go for the gravel and the performance dimpled friction.
  13. I'm gonna have to send people to you when you start working in this trade, I guess you'll be fucking perfect as a tech.
  14. This works on lots of them I do it all the time, when the thing is clearly a car back from the light I always stop on it adn about 90% of the time I get an arrow.
  15. Do you like reading your posts? I'm just curious because they all seem geared to stroke your ego.
  16. I have to fully agree with this. A 4L60 will do it in an f-body making around 700 wheel, maybe a little less.
  17. I roll with the top down in the Miata blasting that, I give no fucks.
  18. Someone should rename this thread "Aluminum foil hat wearers come inside".
  19. This is falling pretty far down the list, just thought I'd bump it since its getting closer.
  20. LS1tech has a list of t-400 swap stuff in their automatic transmission section, but taking a free t-400 and having it built to be reliable isn't going to save you much IMHO.
  21. Just don't forget that with a different trans, comes crossmember, converter, driveshaft, torque arm mount, tuning (minor), and gear change. If planned out with a rear end swap it wouldn't be bad, but this sure isn't something I'd peice together.
  22. Does it have something to do with people in Africa with cancer not getting diagnosed and just they just die?
  23. Going to be in the car running by 10-7?
