I'm so glad I'm not the only one.

OMFG, there is a Prius chat web forum? I think I'm going to be sick. I hope I get next to one of these tools who tries to race any one of my cars, I'll just run the automotive confused loser off the road. The last Prius I got stuck behind had a big bumper sticker that read "TREE HUGGER!", I wanted to end him, I don't even understand why this brings about so much rage in me. :fuuuu:

MS4 doesn't like nitrous, see quote below, the MS3 is a great nitrous cam. This is a great and pretty common way to go. I use EFIlive to tune and it offers some nitrous friendly controls if you use one of their custom operating systems, IMO EFIlive is easier to use as I've tried both but to each his own. MS3 would be a great cam, I use the 233/239 cam that is one step down and works well, but kind of wish I'd went with the MS3. Also look at Texas Speed's 1 7/8 headers, their getting good rep but weren't out when I bought my Pacesetters. I'd recommend going with either HSW plate kit or Nitrous Outlet plate kit as they are known to make a much better spray pattern. Heard geat things about Monster clutches as well, but I have an auto so I'm not as up to speed on clutches and such. Suspension is up to you, I've done well with direct replacement adjustable peices, either BMR or UMI for that, they're almost identical. Obviously Moser 9" all the way, get whatever suits you, but if you really want it powder coated I'd get it installed, weld on some tabs for your brake lines, see that everything fits well and then have it powdercoated. I absolutly hate the locker in my buddies 9" its more annoying around corners then my spool, and it unloads everytime he shifts.

92 Regal rear brake caliper - need opinion
Cordell replied to Doc1647545523's topic in Tech and Tips
I have, heating up a stuck bolt will make it come out much faster and easier then penetrating oil without as much risk of breaking it off. Nothing wrong with using a torch in the proper manner. -
92 Regal rear brake caliper - need opinion

I wish I could just tell you to bring it to me, but I don't have final say in what gets charged to the customer. I'd really like to know why he needs calipers to begin with, most things can be fixed if you're not a lazy tech. I don't replace many calipers unless they leak, or have some physical damage. Honestly though if someone brought me something screwed up I'd charge them a couple hours to get it apart. The $160 doesn't sound that far fetched to me but I don't know what excatly is going on with the car. -
Never done anything like that, but who cares? I mean all you can do is go in with a smile and a good attitude, and just see what happens. You never struck me as the type that would be very nervous. Hell I bet you'll still be the biggest guy in the room, and I also bet it goes well.

There are back pressure gauges out there, but if I thought that was a real problem I'd pull one of the O2 sensors and go try it. This method doesn't hurt anything if you just do it to see if it makes a difference. Mufflers don't usually clog up, it's usually the cat if it is, but since its new I'd look into other things first. Get you a fuel pressure gauge and see what happens when the vehicle is under a load. Then I'd be looking into some live data on a scan tool, any misfires under load, what are the fuel trims doing, stuff like that.

So what made you go with a big old tank of a Polaris? Figured you'd have more fun on a sport quad, plan on owning a farm or spending all your time in a mudhole? Just picking on you, you'll have fun anyways.
-
Granted I've never messed with Jeeps, but this doesn't sound like a trans, it sounds more like a clogged exhaust, fuel pressure dropping off under load, ect. Not ruling out a trans problem, but I'd be looking elseware first.

By "getting on it and losing power" do you mean it bogs down? or slips and revs?
-
This!!! or I vote chicken.

I have to agree hands down on the Aveo and Colorado, worst Chevys right now.

This, the old 8" is worthless, build an 8.8 or 9" which ever is easiest to install.
-
Good numbers, and good proof that dyno queens are worthless. There are so many ways to make a car look good on a dyno it isn't funny. Congrats on getting your tune worked out.

Already looking forward to your first leave, so we can have some more fun.

I guess that makes for a cheap date, but I find veggies disgusting so it would drive me nuts. More power to you bud.

What does it matter Rhett? You're just playing into Hal's little game of hating on people. I thought posting about it was lame, but I do lots of lame shit. Just ignore Hal, he a professional hater, nobody cares. everybody else was just sitting at home doing nothing anyway, at least you were doing something you wanted to do.

I said best Audi, not a car I'd love to own.
-
Just pointing out my interests, possibly to shed a little light on my opinions. Stop jumping to conclusions, I don't feel the need to defend what I own. Only to point out where I'm coming from.

There was good looking white one in the showroom at Byers Imports for a while, best looking Audi I've ever seen.

I didn't say that I don't like them as much, I said their models have started to look very similar, especially from an interior standpoint. Its my opinion that a car company is far more interesting when their line up doesn't just look like different sizes of the same car. Thats how most european cars come across to me. This is also why people buying Cadillac Escalades instead of a loaded Tahoe that's the same damn truck doesn't make sence to me. I'm just a simple person, I buy a car for the fun it gives me or what it's usefull for, not the exclusivity or general perception of that vehicle. Take my cars for example, I wanted an F-body, I love everything about the car, it makes me smile everytime I drive it, it's an easy platform to mod. My truck is a utility vehicle, it comes in handy for so much, but I also treat it like a utility vehicle, its a 2WD V6 with a back seat so it can easily take the whole family if needed. My cars aren't flashy, I don't do it for anyone but me. The only reason I want a Vette is because it would be a blast, good handling, good power, good mods, not like so many people because that Vette means some kind of status to them, taking it to car shows and putting around in it. Lets face it, MKV Aaron and Jones will never agree with my car interests.

What I meant was their lineup of sedans. 2000 Audi S4 http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQ7Io418qTZCpwSTV5ojU-bPlTaxFEyoGBs5rUiQCxcBSDeerubs2VzSvo 2000 Audi A6 http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTE-crqLV4gvSPGFs-cl1Rmr2LxoHdvm2W_5LVaQz1w4GTMktY4KtEXLkI 2010 Audi A1 http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRdUKh8TQxGqSq6475XetrPwkRZhsMbrAfzprMoO8lAFSETz8DgVXRkPUw 2010 Audi S4 http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSxqEi_u5FaaeDdEOOqxo_59390Imw0nf0XGmLGIZtbzQSHygRjDEPyVkU 2010 Audi A8 http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQhuyIXgOkx377eDER8RgPn9l2ivtb5A8b_fpFKJj6JRiEJrVxtIcFxVg You know when I see an Audi, I just think "oh look an Audi" there isn't much definable between models. The only Audis that stand out to me not being an Audi fan is the TT and the R8.

But if you're also talking about bulky ugly shit too, I also get that. There are lots of worthless uninteresting cars on the road today. There isn't much that gets me interested. I can understand from an engineering view why German cars get attention, but they don't do for me from a looks standpoint. Take Audi for example, every sedan they have come out with for the last ten years look so similar to each other. BMW isn't as bad but they all look alike. Toyota is about the worst cookie cutter generic cars. You know I can understand the companies wanting some brand recognition, but most of them do it in a very boring mundane way. Even my beloved Chevrolet has started down this path, every new car that has come out recently feels the same when you're sitting inside of it, with the exception of the Camaro. I really look forward to the next change in general automotive direction, the industry seems to move direction every 10-15 years. So I wonder whether I will continue to enjoy the same cars, or the next big advancements will get my attention. At least being overly obsessed with cars and the automotive industry there is always something new to check out, or something old that may have been overlooked. Forwards, backwards or both the car is such a cool thing. Sorry for the long post, I started to ramble.
