You have got the idea down when it comes to exactly what the first set of O2 sensors are there for. However the set of O2s after the cats have nothing to do with engine performance. They are there for emissions, and hence why most of use just delete them from the tune. I hope that clears it up, but I have to admit I don't think I'd ever do that good of a job explaining it. A couple minor things though, O2s measure hydrocarbons (not exactly CO2), and I think of them as more of a real-time correction for closed loop operation. Any major differences between what the MAF reads and the O2s and it'll just kick a code and operate from the base maps, but now I'm just knitpicking. You've got the basic idea.

The computer won't have issues with emissions. Nothing wrong at all with this idea. One way to do it. This is also true, but he'll have to reset the check engine light every time he opens them. When I talked to Gabe about this I got the impression that he didn't want to have issues with Cali's emissions and didn't want to detract from the original car much. I think he's on track for what he wants to do. Don't forget that if you get manual cutouts and decide later that you want electric you can just bolt them on to the flange. It would be a simple upgrade.

Good stuff, that's a pretty normal 60' for street tires and actually decent considering it has lowering springs on it. Throw some headers on it, "this should be any LS1s first mod"-you said so yourself.

I'm not that bad...............am I? Yeah even my wife said we wouldn't go back, and she is very forgiving.

I haven't been to this place in about 8 years, but last night was pretty lame. My wife called ahead and told them we were going to have about 10 people there and she was told "not a big deal we should be able to seat you fairly quick", okay fine. We get there and I could deal with 10-20 minutes, but we stood there in their crowded entry way for almost 45. I saw a few tables they could easily have pushed together and got us in and out, but they kept seating the one or two people at a time that arrived after us. So after being annoyed that I couldn't leave seeing as how I'm there with my in-laws, we finally get seated, in the corner, in the dark. Yes the table was so dim I could hardly see the food. Watered down soda, burnt apetizer, and a bunch of cackling old people. The only good thing was the steak, that was really good. However for me, my wife, and daughter this fiasco cost us $73. The place sucks. /rant.

I screw around on the internet posting on forums. I plan out imaginary car builds, and research new performance parts. This may sound lame but I love to learn all I can about cars and how they can be modified. Watch movies. Or I just like to take things apart, clean them up, figure out how it works and put it back together. This goes hand in hand with voluntering to help people out with their cars. I could try to make money doing some of these things, but I feel it would take the fun out of it.
