  1. How come Tick performance has it listed on their website for $189? Maybe you should call them.
  2. Been there done that, all in a day of riding. Some days are better then others. At least you guys were all wearing your gear and got home safe.

    VIC JR?

Price out everything you need to get the vic jr actually on the car, and then know that you can take a FAST out of the box and bolt it on plus TB and it really isn't much cheaper. ie you need the elbow, the TB, the fuel rails, various fittings to hook up the fuel rails, I think I'm forgeting something, you get my point.
  4. Everything except teh w-body comment is right about this, or if you want the old hillbilly trick beat on the door and see if it goes up. Testing the switch is easyest but you'd need a volt meter and a diagram.

    VIC JR?

You would have to rethink some of the other engine parts to make it worth your while not going boosted. A really high stall for an auto, a cam that makes power up high, better lifters that like high RPMs, and at least better rod bolts. Anything can be made to work well on nitrous, and in my opinion sticking with a stock style manifold would keep it a much more fun street car without taking away from dragstrip duty. If you really do want to go this route do some more research and you'll find that running a non-boosted car doesn't like the intake elbow TB set-up. Guys are having much better success running a carb style TB on top with a intake hat on top of that. It consistantly makes more power then an elbow, search LS1 tech. Maybe your goals are a lot different then mine but I doubt you'd really go this route.
  6. I know what you mean to some extent, my Doctors have been telling me with my back and it's slightly slipped disks to stop working such physical jobs. What can you do? There are only a couple things that I have experience in, electrical and automotive. I don't know how you are but I can't stand working in sales or at a desk, so what are you to do?
  7. +100000 Most floors aren't thick enough especially in a pole barn that wasn't planned for a lift.
  8. I guess I left a little early but I was hungry. Too bad.
  9. Hopefully things clear up easily and quickly, best wishes.
  10. I read the thread, that's interesting. I didn't think that was a very common thing given the power level of the car. I guess we'll just have to see what it looks like when it's all apart.

No big deal man, it's just better to be safe then sorry. You could always ask rather then bitching in a thank you thread. Send me a PM, I'm sure we could get that done pretty painlessly.
  12. So has the car actually done something, or is it just making a noise?
  13. I didn't get much notice, and you aparently don't pay enough attention.
  14. hey do you want out of the house?
  15. Sitting at home huh?
  16. Might show up in something that isn't mine, not sure yet. Doc, did you get the new toy yet I wanna see it?
  17. I've seen this car in person and at that price is one hell of a deal, miles or not.
  18. Three channel can be converted really easily if you haven't broke the axle anyway.
  19. Wish my car wasn't down again, but I doubt there would be much tonight anyway. The parkinglot warriors have been smaller and smaller, plus no one races anyway.
  20. Thats the boat I've been in for the past few years, hopefully I can come up with the money by spring because I'm not going to rebuild mine again.
  21. Pretty much, as long as its on compresion stroke. If it won't start you can turn the dis 180 and try that. See if you've got spark, and double check stuff. That spider injection is a finiky bitch too.
