  1. Speaking of E85, my injectors are running at 61% duty cycle now, would they be enough for E85? Just ballpark it, I'm not going to hold you to it. Would a N/A motor pick up much? again just give me your educated guess.
  2. I haven't worked for an Electric company for 4-5 years now, but I've worked for my share. Started into the apprenticeship out of high school and got out of Electrical not long after I finished. For the past 4-5 years I got into wrenching. I don't live far from your shop there, so I'll have to stop by.
  3. Yeah i locked up the convertor for the dyno pulls, but I was doing the tuning on a Mustang dyno so I'd bet it would read a little higher on a Dynojet like Dyno Brian has. Doesn't really matter to me what kind of numbers it puts down anyway, it runs good. I do want to put it on Brian's dyno at the dyno day just to see how much different it reads, just for the hell of it.
  4. Okay I'm with you now, sounds like something with the tranny is a miss. I struggled to get my car into the 12s a couple years ago, then after the rebuild and my little 3000 stall it was an incredible difference. Went from running 12.90s to 12.10s with just that. Sounds like a rebuild and stall is gonna be your next project.
  5. Your 60' vary that much? You put down 420 to the wheels on spray? If that's the case you're not leaving a ton on the table. I've a built 6.0 LQ4, with a healthy cam, 3.73s, bolt-ons, 3000 stall, and it put down 417 at the wheels on motor. Now my heads were portmatched with a dremel, but I consider them stock. Thats the way I was running it tonight, my spray isn't hooked up :ninja:.
  6. Oh I guess your car is more stock then I thought, no offence. What does it 60'?
  7. At 116mph I'd think you'd be into the high 11s, so yeah I see where you're coming from. I'm pretty happy with my little budget build, it doesn't do too bad for a set of stock LS1 heads.
  8. What kind of plug was used? If the tire was broken down and has a patch/plug in it, honestly I doubt you'll have much of an issue. Now if we're talking an old gas station type of rope plug, that I'd worry about. Since I'm assuming these are just normal street tires, are you even going to do a burnout? Either way I've never been to a track that techs that good.
  9. I didn't feel like reading that whole thread, but I still think it's funny.
  10. Somebody buys the motor and wants the truck oil pan and intake I've got them laying here, just missing the pickup tube. I originally sold this to Gary, and like he said there is nothing wrong with it. The heads are laying here too, but they're junk.
  11. Yeah I've seen that before, I've also seen one blow up too. I'd say just let it alone for a while and just replace it obviously it's done. Then just have the charging system tested, usually it's just a short in the battery, or sulfating, or loosing some water out of it for some reason, but best to have it checked after replacement.
  12. I'm pretty pleased with my car, I got up there right after they prepped the track again before eliminations. It ran a 1.69 60', with 12.02 at 113.7mph. Of course I broke out because I dialed 12.1 after running 12.15, 12.18, and 12.21 on my time trial runs. I've finally got the car running consistant again, so over all it was a good time. Hell I even cut a .008 reaction for a change, good times.
  13. Yeah the one right by house just did the same thing, I guess that's one more reason to convert to E85. I was not too happy seeing as how I went to the track tonight.
  14. So is anyone going out there tonight? I'm gonna go to trails for the first time all year. I know it's short notice, but hopefully I'll see a few people out there.

  17. Okay so i'm going to ask the obvious so not to assume, but it is leaking there? I'm sure as similar to a radiator as an intercooler is it can be fixed, it's just a matter of finding someone capable and making sure its worth it. Wish i could help, but if you find someone who can fix it please let us know.
  18. Only if you take my comments seriously.
  19. Well you sure won't see another one. Not a color I'd paint anything, but its growing on me.
  20. I'd bet parts would be hard to come by for that, and if it's anything like an SVX a PITA.
  21. I saw that shit on the news, and the first thing i thought was how does a winey pussy get a playboy bunny? Just more fucking dumb shit.
  22. Ohms has nothing to do with sound quality, it's just a matter of matching the ohm rating to the amp so you get the wattage that you want and/or what its designed for. As for scenario 2, i have no idea how the factory controlled the sub, but I'd bet it's the amp.
