  1. Shit like that would go horribly wrong with a CCW. Come at me with a chainsaw, I don't think I would hesitate.
  2. Really like that satin white pearl on the Merc.
  3. I have joined that forum, and been reading. Quite a few of their links are dead. Found some decent info searching on youtube and watching vids. Always got to check out CR though, as I've found some members have done this.
  4. That Festiva was hurting some feelings, lol. So what your saying is find Aspire struts/knuckles/brakes and just bolt the shit on?
  5. Traffic does stupid shit to people, IQ points drop faster then the resale value on that junk as V6 Charger.
  6. Lets just say in the real world, people who bought 4.8 trucks have bitched many times about their trucks not getting what its "supposed to". The 4.3 trucks live up to their estimates. If someone just wants a driver and wants to haul the random thing home from Lowes a 4.3 is perfect, but try to haul stuff very far or tow some real weight then 5.3 all day.
  7. The 4.3 is better then a 4.8, yes seriously better mileage and about the same capability. For something to drive it's not even the slightest bit fast but it gets around okay. I had a 2010 with 4.3, and decided that a boring ass truck was better traded in on a Miata. It pulled the camaro a few times, and it did it but barely. I wouldn't buy anything smaller then a 5.3 in those trucks. Now the 2014 4.3 has yet to be seen, but it drives like the last gen V8. We'll have to see how it does when someone tows with it.
  8. Yeah its the 121, I'm finding more stuff in Europe then here. I know Ford, Mazda, and Kia all played a part in building these cars. Seems there have been many swaps and things done, just most of the links I find are dead.
  9. So my Dad and I have bought a 1993 Ford Festiva, been sitting for over 10 years so we will have to get it running, not a problem we are both technicians. What I am curious about is modding the car. As dumb as it may sound I have heard of swapping Aspire parts and some of these things being pretty fun. We are thinking about having something to thrash around with just for kicks. Amazingly it has very little rust and the shell is in good condition, and you can't beat getting it for scrap price. So thoughts, ideas? Been searching around the interwebs but it seems a lot of info is outdated and getting lost.
  10. Looks like it'll actually be a good follow up.
  11. I get my news from Columbus Racing, if its important it usually gets posted and both side are typically represented. In all seriousness most "world news" is so diluted I ignore what is said and watch the video if I watch it at all. I like local news for the weather report and to see what non-political stuff is going on around Columbus. I hate news that tells me how to think about something, so until someone figures out how to really be unbiased, I don't watch more then that.
  12. 300 wheel in a BRZ should be a blast to drive. I have a blast at 180 wheel in my Miata, so it should similar in power to weight if not better. Sounds like fun. And I'm glad you didn't have too much trouble taking care of your bolt.:fuckyeah:
  13. That GTO took the hit in the worst possible place right in the door, like others have said a gaurdrail would've at least spread out the impact. That's just shitty, RIP.
  14. tapping in a torx is a great idea, I've been successful with that before. If that doean't work I would try a twist socket on the out side. If your lucky the head will break off and the threads will no longer have a load on them.
  15. I have had plenty machined, have you asked any machine shops? Call M&M and ask them.
  16. So much respect for all the people and troops involved, I hope everyone with children tries to inform them with just how important this was in American and world history. So many people gave the ultimate sacrifice to stop Hitler from ruining so many other people's way of life. Its these events that keep my pride strong in being an American, not all the bullshit that dilutes our society today.
  17. Them tires made a big difference, now you just need to get that thing to stop pushing so bad.
  18. Event #1: Saturday May 10th CRP Event #2: Saturday June 7th CRP Event #3: Sunday July 20th CRP Event #4: Saturday Aug 9th CRP Event #5: Sunday Aug 24th CRP Event #6: Sunday Sept 21st CRP No there's a few more, hopefully you can make it to a few of them.
  19. Had a best of 47.1. Had a blast, great to see CR getting more involved in this stuff
  20. There are a few threads about shipping companies Thorne, use your search function. Then you just need to call them.
  21. I would make that shit someone elses problem, or have an insurance fire. I'm sure if it were mine I could find a way to fix it, but I'd be seriously modding the braking system and would likely make nobody else want it. It must have something to do with the ABS? Idk anything about it, but redoing the lines to eliminate that would make it function. Just my initial thoughts. On second thought, fuck that truck, get it out of your life.
  22. We.already talked about my opinion on boxes, so the only point I want to make is that Snaponle l financing is way better of a deal then Cornwell. Cornwell is simply a credit card the way a lot of motorcycle dealers used to sell on a card, ask anybody how big a PITA it is to pay off. Snapon is much more like a car payment with a set number of weeks that you can negotiate. I would just bite the bullet and go Snapon, the damn box will last forever, and if you'll always be working on something even if you get out of the trade you won't want to get rid of your tools so why not just have the box? This is why I just said fuck it a few years ago, found a decent deal and went with it, of course I really can't see myself doing anything else anytime soon.
  23. I have to say thats pretty hot:fuckyeah:. I would feel bad for copying, but somebody else will, or has already, so screw it if it looks good.
