  1. The only one I have for on the car is for LS1 heads. There are a couple cheaper universal types that are only around $20-30, just go down to the auto parts store.
  2. Have you searched for an appropriate heli-coil yet?
  3. Just because I showed up in a Miata doesn't mean I've never been booted, Anthony got booted from his own rental a few years back. Shit happens, its over, I'm done.
  4. Lots of good info here on the dredded death wobble. Pretty common on Jeeps, a thorough inspection of parts and a new steering damper should be first.
  5. Well it goes to show intent and the idea behind a post is typically lost across the internet. So start a thread about track safety and debate it, I'm all for that, it's just when a thread about thanks and track times gets over run by this stuff it gets annoying, and IMHO disrespectful to the people who deserve thanks for putting the event together.
  6. You guys and your GTRs are just full of first world problems. "Oh my god I bought what I knew was a really fast car, and tried to go really fast in it, why would anyone give me a hard time about going faster then my car qualifies for in the rules?" Going that fast in anything is dangerous, car or bike, saying otherwise is just ignorant, regardless of safety equipment. Comparing cars to bikes is about just as ignorant, ever seen a bike with a rollcage? sheesh, way to ruin a nice thread.
  7. If it drives out right and tight, the only thing killing you is mileage. I would think $7-8k would get it sold, but I'm no expert. Seems some of these cars are asking way too much money, so I don't know if people will actually pay $10-12k for a higher mileage TA.
  8. The pics are great in all seriousness, you and Leanne stayed plenty busy yesterday.
  9. Yup, my favorite picture is ruined by your watermark, and then there's this. http://waggz.smugmug.com/Cars/Leannes-Track-Day-Pictures/i-nj8BZDm/0/XL/IMG_4702-XL.jpg
  10. Just bugs to work out man, you can't custom build everything and not spend countless hour working it out, you'll get there.
  11. Big thanks to Anthony, Tina, and Wagner for doing all the hard work, once the weather cleared up I had a blast. Got my little Miata to run a 14.1 at 95, and made Wagner happy by running his car's best, but he can brag about that.
  12. See this is a loaded question, sure you can put that in there because the charge is low and it might work out, but R134a isn't like the old R12 where you could tune the system off pressure. R134a needs to have a specific amount to work properly, and that measurement is in weight. If you want to fix your A/C system correctly you need to vacuum out whats in there, and pump in the correct amount, then figure out why it was low in the first place. 65psi seems low, but how much that is varies alot with temp and size of system, not to mention your measuring it with a cheap gauge. If you insist on using the crap in a can, pay attention to how much you put in, find the label underhood that says how much the system holds and assuming it has somewhere around half that in it pay attention to how much you put in, install it through the low side (pretty sure those cans only have a low side fitting), do this with the engine running and the A/C commanded on, when the compressor kicks on, stop. Keep in mind that as soon as the compressor kicks on that low side will become a vacuum and suck that shit in quickly. See where you're at from there. Anyone who has worked with A/C will tell this isn't a proper fix, and you most likely have something leaking. Best of luck, try not to blow anything up, and do not breath the shit. Working around automotive chemicals and shit all day, refridgerent is one of the only things to make me feel sick.
  13. Wow, looks like a turbo V8 from 5-10 years ago, damn.
  14. Fine, not sure why I was thinking 9. I'll be in no hurry in the morning, so I doubt I'm coming into reynoldsburg.
  15. Welcome, there are a few of us that autocross here, hope to see you out.
  16. Thats just proof that old guys still buy Corvettes to sit in their garage and do nothing with. I cared just enough to post this, hopefully HE paid for it.
  17. I put Michelin Defenders on my wife's Cobalt, great ride, 80k mile warranty. It's been 15k+ and they still look new, great tires.
  18. I think thats cool, never too much black on a Trans Am.
  19. Pretty sure he means on his cars.
  20. If I wasn't going to use factory, I'd use Dorman.
  21. Nope Camaro isn't back together yet, and at this point I'm not beating on it without any break in miles anyway.
  22. Okay you have to stop at the 8th mile and use your launch control again, and I'll race you.
  23. Look for an EZ-up handing out tech cards.
