I dont think you'll get too many, a lot of the NE riders have to be up early as hell tomorrow for Epic Ride if they are going.

Sorry for the late notice, I plan on attending, I read through the threads and saw some guys leaving from the NE area heading to Coshocton, anyone near Akron I can meet up with to head down. PM me with where to meet. ( I have GPS on my phone but I don't have it setup on the bike yet so I have to stop and pull out phone to look at gps so I have issues with areas I'm unfamiliar so I'd prefer to follow someone else, but if all else fails I'll meet at Coshocton. EDIT: Scratch this post, I received a private message and will be meeting in Lodi with some guys and head down to Coshocton.

Well, I've been sort of active on the forums as of the last month. Haven't officially introduced myself. My name is Derek and I'm from the Akron area (specifically Copley) - I ride a 98 CBR 900rr. You all seem like good people. *until a woman posts on the forum * Kind of considering doing the Epic Ride tomorrow, but not sure cause it will be a ton of riding and I'm not sure how well I'll do on a 10 hour ride. Someone convince me on why it would be a good idea lol.

Well that was fun... not nearly as funny as watching the three kids 'slow' drag and watching the kid drop his bike while face planting his friends bike.

I called two weeks ago and they said bike night starts 5/1

Thinking about heading up to bike night on Wednesday to either Canton or Valley View Quaker Steak & Lube. Supposed to be 75+ according to weather.com. I get off work at 6pm so heading up after. I'm leaning towards Valley View because to be quite honest, I'm not sure if the Canton QS&L is starting bike night yet. Figured it would be a good opportunity to meet up with some OR riders and head up together for a little group ride. Yes, but after consulting a local bike mechanic, he recommended replacing both the OEM stator & R/R. He said they are known for going bad and didn't recommend replacing one without the other (he had no sales pitch in the fact he was getting nothing out of it)... I'd rather just replace them both now and not have to worry about it, plus not being overly tech savvy, my troubleshooting skills aren't T1.

Okay, I was considering just buying the wiring harness and replacing it at the same time... maybe I'll look when I get home and see if the wires look bad.

My Bike : 1998 Honda CBR 900RR Went out last night w/ a guy from this forum (330racing), hit up some local park twisties and bike started acting real funny - got it home, turned off and went to turn back on immediately and nothing. Had battery issues, so I went to put on a charge and battery charger gave me an error saying the battery was bad. Did some research online and found out that it was more likely a r/r & stator issue because apparently my bike is known for it. So I decided to just buy a new stator and r/r to replace the OEM parts. I'm not very mechanical but I'm going to attempt to replace these parts myself (mostly because I want to learn to become self sufficient on my bike) - Anyone have any tips before I do this so I don't mess anything up. I'll be referring to the CBR repair manual but is there any tricks that I should know before heading in such as any specific tools I may need that I may not already have. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Can new people jump in this? or is the challengers locked? I'd be more than happy to attempt to beat the clock on these.
