  1. Gotta go with my grandfathers trick with dish soap.  Squirt a generous amount of dish soap into a open container and put some water in.  Slowly mix, you don't want suds.  Use a small paint brush and run it around the beads and the valve stem.  Leak will blow up a large bubble.  Works every time! That's how I found a small nail in one of my tires.

  2. I use the key like most of everyone on here.  I never leave it in gear, always neutral when I park.  When I get gas, I use the center stand so I know I am packing it full of fuel, other than that, I usually use the side stand.  The only time I use the side stand to kill my bike is for its intended purpose, when I am trying to put it into gear to go and I forget to put it up.  Never used the kill switch, don't see a need for it unless the bike goes down and is still running.

  3. You are in the Columbus area, go to the Iron Pony and try on a bunch.  They have all the different manufacturers available to try out.  +1 for Shoei.  I got the best fit for my melon with a Shoei GT Air.  You will be throwing some coin out for a Shoei, but it is worth it.  I paid about $500 for mine.  It is quiet, comfortable, has PIN Lock and the integrated sun visor.

  4. That was amazing to see. That dude definitely pulled her in. I don't think I would have picked her up so fast, she was obviously a little stunned. It was raining quite hard and you can see a line of solid water crossing the road when he lost control. I am going to say he must have hydroplaned.

  5. Guarantee shit like this would happen all the time in Ohio if you lane split. That dude almost got taken out. That's why I don't lane split. Too many asshats get enraged when you go around them, they think they are entitled to the position their in and you basically cut the line. Someone posted a video a while back of a dude who got out of his car and attacked a rider and his passenger over lane splitting. Don't need that kind of stress while riding.

  6. Shot the KelTec and hated the long trigger pull.  I think for CCW the best guns are what a few have already stated, Glock 43, M&P Shield, and Springfield XDS.  I have shot all of these and I carry the Springfield XDS and love everything about it.  I am a Glock fan and really like the Glock 43 as it shoots quite well and is very concealable.  The Shield is also a great gun that shoots well, it just didn't feel right in my hand. You cant go wrong with any of these.  In most cases you can go to a range and rent any of the models listed above to try them out before you purchase.

  7. Offer in/ accepted/ now for inspection

Thx for all the suggestion every one. Agent was awesome, went with low ball and bought the price down a lot. By myself like my bike deals I would have paid way more than needed.

Ps: bike sold as well :( bike less for now

Congrats on the house purchase Doc!  Now the fun part, waiting on the buying/inspection process to complete and finally moving.  On another note, I am glad to hear you sold that beast!  I know you have always seemed to question why you bought it to begin with, which basically says you were not comfortable with the bike.  I wouldn't wait too long to get another one.  I know a few people who started a family, got rid of their bikes and later regretting it.  Riding is your passion just like the rest of us.  It will drive you nuts to go without a bike, especially when riding season starts again and everyone is out.  It started to drive me nuts to have a blank space in my garage after my wreck.  I have three young ones and it is hard to make time to ride, but I am still able to manage making time on a Sat. here and there to put down a 500 Mi run.  I am glad I did not get rid of mine.  If i cant ride, at least I can go into the garage, start her up, smell the exhaust and it keeps me going until i can make another day to get out and ride.  Anyway, enjoy your new house Doc and hope to see you on two wheels again!
