This is what i miss the most. Even if i couldnt ride whole day i always tried to come out and see everyone and refresh the memories and faces and was best part of the ride for me. Being in these pics were the closesnt thing to family photo for me every year since i got no family here. Glad you all had great weather and ride. @DerekClouser  plz dont stop, i hope you keep going at least until you find some one as passionate and crazy to take over the tough/worst/fun part of organizing these in future. I tried to give you a break last year but i just dont have it in me any more i think.

@TimTheAzn @max power  its not that i dont like to ride, but the smiles per miles are drastically reduced. My little one is old enough to come running to me and give me a hug before i suit up and leave nowadays and that kinda takes me on big guilt trip thinking IF i am gonna be back and see him. I tried different styles of riding road adv / heavy sport touring etc but all bikes i ended up doing stupid stuff lol.   Wish i had enough mind and time to try real adv riding dirt road riding which would have been perfect.

anyways i am pretty sure 75-80% of folks here had gone through this phase with their little ones one point of time and as soon as they are old enough and you stop being there hero and center of life, u come right back to square one with 2 wheels to carve some corners around it :D

NinjaDoc, I had a 1981 750 Honda for years when my (3) kids were growing up and maybe put 500 miles on a year. In the back of my mind I knew I would get a chance to ride again and have that feeling again..... it's in your blood. I traveled the country watching my kids play sports in high school and college. In 2007 my youngest told me he was not going to play college ball, I turned to my wife and said; "I'm buying a new bike".  Since 2007 I have bought a 2005 FZ1 (Totaled), 2006 FZ1, 2008 FZ1, 2014 Kaw Ninja 1000 and 2017 FZ10. Doc, when you have the time you will allow yourself the time to ride. I believe it's in your blood, you currently have responsibilities with this phase of your life that will be worth the sacrifice, kids are worth it! You can pick up your passion later and enjoy bikes just as much.

  2. I have found after market motorcycle seats a huge improvement on the comfort of the bike. I have cruise control on the FZ10 which is great and use a "Go Cruise" on my other bikes. Allowing my hand a rest off the throttle helps my hand, wrist and arm fatigue. I a ride a road bicycle (Now limited to only 20 miles a ride) elliptical for (40) minutes when I can't ride the bicycle and lift weights four days a week. Trying to keep in shape allows me to ride 400+ mile a day on the motorcycle. I rode 3000 miles on the motorcycles in Florida this winter.

I am currently on so many prescription drugs I don't take additional pain relief medications. I have taken them in the past and they are helpful on multi day rides.

Lol first bike. I’m looking for a second bike. Something just to throw my leg over And put around

I noticed your birth date and saw you are younger than my kids.... LOL! Like I stated, JMHO on a Ninja 250. Buy what you want.

  4. I am wondering why you would want to buy a Ninja 250? It is the perfect starter bike, I bought a 2008 that was six months old for my son to ride as a beginer bike and he decided not to ride. I almost gave it away to my nephew to learn when he was 16. I got the Ninja 250 to 100 MPH one time on I271 and it took 20 minutes. It's a great first bike because you can never go too fast to get in trouble. I nicked named it the "shifter", because you were constantly shifting. As a previous poster stated, there are many other bikes, maybe a little older that would be better choices, unless it for a first bike. Ok, ok, all three of my bikes are 1000 cc bikes and I am used to that kind of power. JMHO!

Thanks, I really love the way Suzuki weighted the aesthetics towards the front of the bike, but it's a shame that they had to stick that ugly fender on the back to satisfy the overlords.

The believe government regulations require manufacturers to design the fender, lights, turn signals and license plates with parameters which make the rear end look ugly. Don't know the specifics, but it seems the street bikes all have an awful hunk of plastic to hold the license plate, lights and turn signals.

Worked 6-11, then got on the gsxs for a few hours. She got dirty, so it was a quick stop at autozone and home for a wash and wax. Baby loves bath time!

That is a great looking bike, the blue is a beautiful color! The fender eliminator will really streamline the bike.

Scapula is still fractured. Next x-ray is 6/25. No trackdays, mountain biking or anything that may involve an impact until then.

    Goodbye summer.

In April 2008 I hit a deer on my motorcycle, (Totaled my 05 FZ1) I broke my Scapula and clavicle, it took (8) weeks before I was able to resume all activities. Good luck on your recovery!

Looking like fender eliminator may not be a good idea. Lots of reports of bike and rider getting very dirty without the fender if the roads are wet. Its ugly but it may have to stay.

There is no doubt the fender eliminator will eliminate the fender and when it rains, the dirt sprays everywhere. Have to wash the bike after every ride in the rain.

I've been seeing a large price variation among brands for these. Have a particular brand of each you recommend?

I have a Graves and a Yosi FE on my bikes. Both have license plate LED light and use the stock turn signals, I like the stock turn signals because they are larger than most after market turn signals. I prefer to be as visible as possible.

  10. Sam, thanks for hosting a bunch of unruly people at you house, myself included. It's always great to see everyone before the riding season starts. Nice to see some hearty souls rode their bikes on a 40 degree rainy day to the Gay Garage Gang Bang Motorcycle Meat and Greet.

  11. NEO isn't the garden spot of the USA mostly due to the weather, but many people I know moved away to much nicer climates and then move back. Mostly because they want to be closer to family. Another advantages is area has is the the low cost of living versus many areas of the country (Think supply/demand). I always wonder, WTF were our ancestors thinking when they settled in the Cleveland area.... they should have continued west or south. We would have been riding year round!

I'm sure you're just trolling, but for full disclosure the reason she attacked the headquarters wasn't because of YouTube's new Gun Policy, but rather their new policy on monetization of channels.  One of her friend's channel was demonetized and she was irate about it.

Kind of silly because from a business standpoint from YouTube, I completely understand the new monetization policies.  Even my channel was demonetized because of the new requirements, but that just means I have to work harder to get to where I want to be.

When I heard the woman was upset her channel was being demonetized and she went off, I thought Derek was involved somehow, someway. Tell us the the truth you radicalized her!
