  1. Yep, I love it when I waive to a Harley or similar style cruiser and the cliche as fuck rider with either A.) his cut off shirt, ripped jeans, chain wallet, balding head, and shitty look on their face towards anything other than their thousands of look-a-likes. (supposed brothers) Or B.) which is the same as A. But with a nasty as bitch on the back that the guy has to get his engine hoist out of the garage for when they get home to get her off. Of course these riders never waive back, they are too busy eating June bugs and trying their very hardest to pull off that "look" I always feel better about myself when this happens knowing im nothing like them, which is why I waive Too all others, I waive out of respect. Cheers
  2. Wrinkle* yes that's what I meant. Good to know, thanks
  3. Ok, well the cover is black right now from the factory. So im guessing is has to be blasted to bare metal to powder coat? what colors do you have in stock? Is it possible to do a crackle black, or does powder coating always come out smooth? Otherwise I just want to do like a polished silver looking color.
  4. Damn. My company needs to take a field trip to yours and see what employee happiness is all about and how to make it happen.
  5. lol, where do you work that you get to wear flip flops and play softball after? Sounds way more relaxed and fun than mine.
  6. Anyone on here do powdercoating, or work somewhere that does? Would like to get a valve cover done for my car, and possibly some other smaller parts. Was quoted $75 for the cover and around another $50 for a few small parts. if anyone here is around cincy or Dayton that does this, id like to find someone through OR, rather than my google search. Would also come back for more stuff to be done later on. Thanks.
  7. im 40 minutes from Dayton, so maybe closer if your south of Dayton? But we have a band saw for metal cutting here at work, its a machine shop, so we have everything.
  8. I really dislike waking up at 4 a.m. Every. week. day.
  9. Price for 05 sv650, please and thank you.
  10. HELMETS FOR THE WIN!!..... And the stuff that covers the rest of your body! I just don't get how anyone rides without a helmet though, I can't handle bugs and rocks in my face.... Or road rash in my face.
  11. Yeah, by the time I got home from this I did 500 today. Im sure a majority of people I rode past during my last 45 minutes thought I was insane. Amazing day overall, great riding
  12. against a group of Harleys, I wouldn't call it a sore thump, more like a diamond in the rough haha.
  13. Ran through the kind of pot hole that makes you poop your pants last night. So glad I didn't go down. Surprised I didn't bend a rim, shpew.
  14. Essentially my thoughts as well, good explanation Tonik.
  15. yeah, sound like one of those quirky electrical problems that you might just end up having to go through the wiring to fix. Good to hear, don't worry though, can always resort to flash light and duck tape
  16. Could be bad ground wire somewhere, would be best to trace the wiring for the lights pretty much all the way through and make sure the connections all look good, I've seen many headlight sockets get fucked up and screw up the whole lighting system. Would start at the bulb/socket
  17. Good info, thanks for your input. And yes I also love the sv650, very fun and capable machine. Just doing what I do with everything, tinker around with it and customize it.
  18. considering how cheap I bought the bike for in its good condition, I really don't care how much i sell it for, if i ever do.
  19. Well If you didn't noticed i never said it would be and upgrade at all. Its just a different option for my rear wheel that, A.) gives me more trie choices than the stock wheel does, im not gonna sweat $20 more on a tire change either. (not saying stock is bad) B.) if it doesn't hinder performance, then yes ill also be changing for the aesthetic purpose.. If it changes the way the bike handles a little bit, maybe ill like it that way better, or maybe I won't. But I've definitely done enough reading of reviews and such, nobody who has done it has said anything bad about it. It still just an option I might go with, just getting opinions, its not a permanent kind of swap anyway, can also go back if I choose to which is nice.
  20. I plan on doing a 06-07 gsxr rear wheel swap on the sv this upcoming winter which I don't even want to think about. Was wondering if anyone on here has rode one with the swap done. Eventually going to swap front ends and get better rear shock as well when the money allows. But I've seen nothing but good reviews about the wider rear tire on the bike. Looks to be very easy install with the available spacers I can purchase from the guy that did these bikes.
  21. Well rode into work this morning in the dark and I can say these are definitely brighter than stock, they illuminate a larger area ahead for sure. I think the crisper whiter color helps with clarity as well. A+ so far.
  22. well, Won't be making it up there. close friend of mine developed a catastrophic oil leak in his car, gotta help him fix it today before he actually does ruin the engine.
  23. Ok thank you, that's were I thought it was. I think ill be there for sure then in the morning, ill send out a confirmation in the morning before I leave.
