Got the bike all back together. It’s always good to go through the bike when you first get it. I found several things not adjusted or torqued properly from the previous owner. I feel a lot more confident in the bike after knowing everything has been done correctly. The bike is ready for a shakedown run and maybe some day rides before my trip.

Two new tires, new upgraded cam chain tensioner, re-torqued steering bearings (after finding out the previous owner already upgraded to tapered roller bearings), new tail light bulbs, dif oil change, removed and plugged the secondary air system, and still gotta put the led headlights in. Dad helped me a bunch and got started on it while I was at work. Almost all back together now. Bar risers on the way too…

Few more mods and it will almost be like the Goldwing you sold. 🤣

I’m sure the arrogant guy from Traxxion has a solution to everything for the Goldwing 😂

To be clear. He used to get 2 rears to 1 front on the wing. Using the same tires it had now reversed? Just out of the blue?
Yeah, he thinks getting comfortable with the bike and more front braking is causing it.

Nope, have put several sets on it. Interesting, over on the Wing forum many are reporting the same. I find it odd.
I just talked to my dad and he is experiencing the exact same thing. Usually 2 rears to a front and now he is getting less mileage out of a front than a rear.

No trailer. I do put that "cooler rack" on the back for long trips but that is not very often.
Hmm, may have just gotten a bad tire? I’d be curious to see if it happens again.

I’ve seen this before on a bike pulling a trailer. Maybe excess load on the back of the bike?

I have been using these for about 19 years on different set up's.
1. Nep Cruise Control
2. Kaoko Throttle Stabilizer
3. Motorcycle Cruise Control, Motorcycle Throttle Lock
They all work great. (YMMV)
anyone remember the OLD rubber band set up from back in the day?🥸
I’ve used the throttlemesiter throttle lock and really liked them, but they went out of business. I got a Kaoko ordered, good here you liked it.

Did some suspension adjustments, gave it a bath and then hit some twisties. The bike feels so much more planted now, still getting used to the bike though. Got a list of parts coming to address some things.

Rode it home. Took off some stickers from the previous owner. Made a list of stuff I need for it and started ordering stuff.

I haven’t posted in a while, life’s been busy. I sold my 2022 KLR650. Two short hours later I bought another bike. Those who know me, I like my big heavy sport touring bikes. The KLR was enough for me to realize ADV doesn’t scratch that itch for me, so I’m heading back to my old home. I’m going back to the trusty FJR! I got a low mileage 2006 with a nice taste of farkles. I pick it up Friday. Probably hit some twisties on the way home. I can’t wait to get wrenching on this thing and making it my own. Got a gap trip planned in July. I don’t have any photos of my own yet but here’s one from the listing.

Dropped the KLR off at the dealer. Fuel pump recall. I hate other people working on my bike.
