  1. I’ve seen this before on a bike pulling a trailer. Maybe excess load on the back of the bike?
  2. I’ve used the throttlemesiter throttle lock and really liked them, but they went out of business. I got a Kaoko ordered, good here you liked it.
  3. Installed new foot pegs and made some compression dampening adjustments on the front forks. The bike is really starting to feel like my other FJR.
  4. Installed some very basic accessories. The throttle rocker just helps my wrist so much and makes my throttle smoother. Took it out for a spin and I am starting to get back to the FJR handling characteristics. Still plenty to improve on...
  5. Did some suspension adjustments, gave it a bath and then hit some twisties. The bike feels so much more planted now, still getting used to the bike though. Got a list of parts coming to address some things.
  6. Rode it home. Took off some stickers from the previous owner. Made a list of stuff I need for it and started ordering stuff.
  7. Brought her home today. I’m gonna go through the bike and make sure everything is good to go. The contimotion tires gotta go, they feel horrible.
  8. I haven’t posted in a while, life’s been busy. I sold my 2022 KLR650. Two short hours later I bought another bike. Those who know me, I like my big heavy sport touring bikes. The KLR was enough for me to realize ADV doesn’t scratch that itch for me, so I’m heading back to my old home. I’m going back to the trusty FJR! I got a low mileage 2006 with a nice taste of farkles. I pick it up Friday. Probably hit some twisties on the way home. I can’t wait to get wrenching on this thing and making it my own. Got a gap trip planned in July. I don’t have any photos of my own yet but here’s one from the listing.
  9. Dropped the KLR off at the dealer. Fuel pump recall. I hate other people working on my bike.
  10. Installed my new tank bag Christmas Gift. The KLR sure does have a ton of storage options.
  11. Got a new fork brace on the KLR. Then took it out on 555 and 676. Wow, what a difference.
  12. Got out with my dad and brother for a KLR riding day. Made it over to Moonville tunnel. Had to cut the ride a little short (brother went down and his knee was swelling pretty bad). Overall, great riding though.
  13. Got a tool tube installed on my luggage racks. Bike all prepped for some riding if the weather holds out.
  14. Took my dad and brother to iron pony for some gear shopping. My brother hasn’t ridden in a decade so he did some upgrading on gear. Did a little bit of air filter maintenance.
  15. This was the response I was looking for. I’m hoping my next big bike is gonna be a R1250c but it’s gonna be strictly road duty, so I wasn’t sure which version I want.
  16. Went to harbor freight and bought some side luggage for the KLR. The luggage racks came with quick detachable plates so it makes taking the cases on and off a breeze.
  17. I remember following the white whale through the dragon then we pull over and your rear tire was toast 😂
  18. Best bisque I’ve ever had, I could literally go there for bisque and bread and be happy.
  19. Got my photo from the gap, no knee down action sadly 😂
  20. The Georgia State Trooper sure didn't see it that way when @2talltim and I got our performance awards on blood mountain. Granted, we probably made over a dozen dick passes before that
  21. It was Rib Country BBQ in Murphy, TN. It was okay, menu was a little different that most BBQ places. No meat samplers or 2-3 meat options, just a single meat or all the meats.
  22. Well @2talltim and I are finishing up our 3 day adventure riding trip here in the Smokey’s, I figured we could throw some pictures up. We definitely learnt a lot of things, since neither one of us ever rode dual sports. Overall it was an amazing trip.
  23. When I did the salvage inspection for my truck, they basically wanted to see the receipts for every replaced part. They did nothing for the road worthiness of the vehicle.
  24. New Tusk handlebars installed with some fresh Renthal full diamond grips.
  25. New tires installed, bike is pretty much ready for @2talltim and It’s Smokey Mountain trip.
