Well shit, I've always said I was an average rider.

This is exactly why I would like to find a lightweight dual sport. Easy to throw around and I wouldn't dread picking it up when it throws me off.

I wouldn't know what to do with a light bike. I've been riding heavy pig bikes for awhile. (Sportster 1200, K1200RS, FJR)

At the end of the day, the weight is merely a number. It's how well the bike hides it's weight that matters.

I'm glad I don't drink coffee. I'm already running late almost every morning anyways. I wouldn't have time to do all this stuff. I like my morning drink: protein scoop, ice, water, shake. Done.

Yeah, if comparing dry weights. Real world scenario where a GS had giant panniers, top case, and a zillion other farkles, it's a completely different story. The key is the sportster can be heavy cause it isn't supposed to go offroad...

Well it's all gone downhill now. Bridgestone has went and removed $50 from the cards that have already been delivered. The whole ordeal seems fishy to me. I feel like it was almost deliberate to hype sales. So if you didn't use them right away, they reduced it back to $50. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. And to the mister goody people, get off your high horse, we've all taken advantage of a big corporation in our lives.

Why do you need your mirrors to fold? Do you park street side that much? I get it, it's cool, just never seen the use of it. When I worked at a dealership, the Caddillac's had the mirrors turn down when in reverse. That was kinda nice to watch out for curb checks.

I wouldn't own a Shinko for any kind of riding above cruiser pace on pavement. Maybe for a dual sport or something of that nature. I've seen enough of their street tires to know their junk. Just to save 50 or 60 bucks? No thanks, I'll take a Bridgestone, Dunlop, Pirelli, or Michelin. I have also seen enough delaminating Metzlers to stay away.

If you get the bike, I would ride it with those tires and see how they feel. If they stick and feel great, try to get some miles out of them. I just wouldn't push them first time out.

Saturday was some great riding weather. I made it through McConnelsville about 1pm. Met up with @2talltim and ate at the River Queen Tavern in Malta.

I was surprised to see Zarco do so well at the beginning. Rossi still has it, but Maverick is gonna be tough to beat.
