  1. Hit Crowne/Busch last night at 8:00. walked around, saw some amazing cars, uncorked the headers on the Jeep and hit the traffic jam on Busch. More cops in one place than I have ever seen in Ohio. Could only make one lap. Hit QSL at about 10 pm and it looks like the burnout competition was in full swing but the kid needed to get to bed and was getting scared by the noise. Got followed most of the way on 270 by two cops (probably due to the open header and the 1-2 powershift I did getting on the ramp to 270 from polaris pkwy. good times overall.
  2. I can vouch for the car in person - it's way cleaner than the potato camera pics make it look. I am actually really envious of how nice it is, plus I like the color better than my white whale.
  3. police presence there last night was a little intense too. I counted about 5-6 units just driving up and down Busch on my short trip from the exit off I-71 to the Crowne.
  4. I hit up last night at the Crowne Plaza. It was a full parking lot but not a lot of Busch Blvd cruising. Took the kid and stayed till dusk, she loved it. Was surprised at the number of "new" to the show cars that showed up - stuff I hadn't seen at the GGs shows before. It made my night to see not 1 but 2 1959 caddys. I had been complaining recently that I hadn't seen one in the wild in quite a while (like 5 years at least), there wasn't even one at last years GGs show. There was also a 1950 and a 1960 that were both very striking.
  5. Wow, ok this train is off the rails.
  6. Anybody doing the parking lot party at the crowne plaza in westerville tonight or tomorrow? It's free to attend (food and drink isn't), and usually a good time followed by cruising on Busch blvd.
  7. so the remaining question is....do people WANT this development? It sounds like it has some ground swell.
  8. If you are a capable welder and halfway good at chassis work it might be worth it to consider a jaguar front and rear swap again. this guy did the front swap on an F100 and it didn't seem half bad, read the whole thread as there is some discussion on parts cost and such: https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/tech-week-jag-xj6-ifs-into-f100.571296/ here is the whole front end for $100: https://cleveland.craigslist.org/pts/d/jag-front-end-with-brembo/6607487152.html and a rear for less than $500: https://lansing.craigslist.org/pts/d/jaguar-independent-rear/6626963605.html The advantage of the Jag rear is it already uses coil overs in the rear from the factory (2 per side in the back for a total of 4). Honestly, all the custom F100s I see are some sort of suspension swap from another car.
  9. Sounds like leases then. If they haven't submitted plans to zoning before making the announcement, then it's going to get real interesting when those plans come through. Only thing I can think of is they want to drum up investment interest through public announcement because their financing isn't all in place yet. Sounds like ODOT is aware though and anticipating.

  11. https://www.bizjournals.com/columbus/news/2018/06/28/billion-dollar-plus-amusement-park-planned-on-350.html If you go to the deleware auditor's site, the parcels in question all seemed to be owned by individuals/small businesses, but I didnt' have the chance yet to pull the sales dates.
  12. My wife was just telling me about this a few days ago, apparently it is the buzz in commercial real estate circles. The rumor is that they already have the land locked down but not sure how - speculation is through shell company purchasing and leases.
  13. yeah...price is crack pipe, but man it's teh sex.
  14. holy chop top batman: https://cincinnati.craigslist.org/cto/d/custom-1972-jaguar-xj6/6622476512.html
  15. ok, cool. Didn't know if you were operating more like a food truck or more like a caterer. I just realized you were down the block from me today, I should have taken a walk over.
  16. Those are booked events, right? what about days that aren't booked? are you going downtown or near the malls to try and get the lunch crowd? I feel weird going to another business's office park and pretending to blend in with the employees there just to get some food. Do you have a twitter account and tweet out locations where you are serving when not booked? All the food trucks I used to go to in NYC did that, it made a difference.
  17. Gorgeous, just absolutely amazing. Congrats
  18. I feel like if you put together a solid binder detailing the car's rarity (1 of 6?), plus a quick history of ownership as you know it (maint records, plus a bullited timeline of what you know), plus really good photos, you could probably pull $4-5K out of it on Bring a Trailer. There are people looking for affordable rarer BMWs that are in nice shape and yours is in really nice shape, you just need to find that market. That M3's been up on CL for at least a year. I've must have looked at it a dozen times because of the estoril blue and white interior :masturboy: I betcha waving some leafy greens under the sellers nose would make him more mobile on the price.
  19. E36 M3 manual convertibles can be had for under $10K now, is a v8 e36 really worth it vs something like this: https://louisville.craigslist.org/cto/d/1999-bmw-e36-m3-convertible/6621439861.html
  20. I flagged it. But since I saw it through CL first and that is what made me look up the car I thought it would be funny to include it.
  21. Kennedy was a surprisingly excellent judge. I was hoping his presence would swing Gorsich more centrist and moderate. I guess fuck that, now. I don't know that their strategy will change. They would have to shop pretty hard for a case that would directly overturn RvW, and even then it would take literal truck loads of money to get it through the lower courts on an appeal-able issue. More likely they will keep doing what they are doing but increase the frequency: funding smaller existing cases that challenge small pieces of RvW to continue to erode the impact of the ruling till it has minimal impact. Because you don't feel oppressed enough? You understand that the overwhelming "conservative" view of the supreme court is not Libertarian but evangelical christian conservative, right? It's not a position of "de-regulation" but one of "the law prevents me from pushing my christian beliefs on everyone by taking prayer out of schools and having the government pay for 10 commandment monuments so I am going to say they are anti-religion". Don't believe me? read this: https://www.nationalreview.com/2017/11/conservatives-supreme-court-obsession-dangerous/

How dare you call yourself a conservative and say that global free trade is not a liberal jew conspiracy to turn all the frogs gay.
  23. Craigslist ad may be a scam....: https://flint.craigslist.org/cto/d/1965-jaguar-mark-42-2-dr/6605360267.html ...however it looks like the car is real and comes with a hefty asking price: https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/cars-for-sale/jaguar/mark-x/2077818.html Jaguar never made a Mark X 2 door or convertible, so this is a well done 1 of 10 aftermarket conversion.

Nope. He starts off reasonable but then goes pretty wide and unsubstantiated. His tone makes what he says more serious than it is. I don't know that he characterizes Angla Merkle's political relationships well either - he makes it seem like she should be falling into line with the more conservative CSU when in reality she is centrist conservative and allies more with centrist progressives in mission and tone. The CSU and CDU are "sister orgs" because of an alignment of issues and a sharing of resources, but that doesn't mean they both have to fall in line with each other. This is like saying John McCain needs to fall in line with Richard Spenser and the Alt-Right because they are both part of the same party. Is there something specific that resonated with you? Maybe we can discuss that? Keep in mind that this guy believes in the International Jewish Conspiracy, and when he discusses Central bankers he means those as part of the conspiracy. It's hard to take serious any economic point he makes in light of that. For what its worth, if he removed the Jewish conspiracy parts of it - he wouldn't be wrong about a lot of it. But that's kind of the problem with anything alt right these days - it starts off grounded in something and reasonable and then makes a hard right turn and expects the credibility and reason for the first part to carry momentum into the crazy part and add legitimacy to things like antisemitism. Just because some of it is technically correct doesn't mean the whole of what he is saying is correct and credible. I found this article discussing him interesting: https://shorensteincenter.org/anatomy-of-alt-right-youtuber/
