Got-Boost?

Can't say I beat you for a year but I put 9,800 miles on a CBR900RR back in 98' in 8-months. Then in 2000 I put 8,700 miles on a 00' R1 in 9-months. Then in 2001 I put 9,200 miles on a 01' Busa in 10-months. My 03' really isn't seeing any miles compared to my previously above mentioned bikes!

Not only that but it won't kill the ignition so someone could jump in your car, start it up and drive off without even needing a key! graemlins/doh.gif

The rider is not the problem, it's the other dumbasses on the road! Never.....ever.....ever.....ride without a helmet, I don't care who you are!

I take it you aren't serious!?!? That or you better re-check your budget for a project like this. Might want to try a 600cc engine to start with......

I would get this motor and then piece together what you need for less money! Otherwise, you are looking at $4k+ for all that stuff straight off of a bike. Unless you can find a wrecked one somewhere that still runs......even then it might be more work than it's worth time or $$$$ wise! Let me know if you want this engine because it will go quick at that price!

Just got an email back from my buddy..... """"Its a 99 engine with only 6200 miles on it. The busa came from an island in northern Japan, so the old man didn't ride it much cuz of all the snow. It only had 2500 on it when I bought it. I put almost 4k on it riding on this 65 mile long island in about a year. Its in great condition! dynoed 157 HP stock. 166 with dual HMFs. I ran nothing but the Motul 300V full synthetic oil in it, so it was taken care of really well. I changed the oil twice during the 4,000 miles... I will sell it for 2300 shipped to his door. Unless the shipping is outrageous, then I might ask him to split the shipping with me. Outrageous = over 300 dollars. The only thing this engine needs is a starter clutch. I think they cost 100 dollars or so, part of the reason I am selling so cheap. It is a very simple installation. If he wants, I will buy the part and put it in before I ship the engine. Some body want to race a BUSA? Is this a car or bike? I thought it was a car by all the shit slinging but if it's just an R1....let me know! P.S.....I don't know any Busa nut swingers! I feel kind of left out if they are on this site!

Ponyfreak/DynoDaddy, My bike isn't stock but I will be more than happy to do it! We need to have multiple cameras to document the runs. We can do 40-160, 60-160, 0-160, whatever, just email me with the details if your interested when the weather gets nice. Amy, Did you see my other post about your BUSA?

When do they break down? I have yet to hear any stories about them or recalls issued? How reliable is your Talon with 604HP/738TQ? The hole money thing is old! If you had the cash, that would be a hell of a daily driver....period. My bike will smoke it for $10k but I can't cruise at 190mph all day long with the A/C on in the rain like the SL65 will! Just accept it for what it is and let it go people.
