I think that was an isolated problem. Do a search for any TSB's on it. I would also search blueovalnews, they may have more info if there were any problems big or small.

Ya....about 435rwhp is the max on the stock bottom end. Upgrade the connecting rods/pistons and it will handle about anything.

They don't feel fast because the torque band is so broad. The liter bikes are very peaky and seem to have a boost about mid rpm's. The Busa's just pull from the get go until redline. That's why a lot of people wreck them because they don't realize how fast they are really going.

What do people make them out to be???? It's not a track bike or anything, just another touring bike! Since you weren't impressed, what exactly were you expecting from it? graemlins/wtf.gif

Brings back memories, I had one just like it. For those interested, the one I had dynoed 381rwhp bone stock with 1,800-miles. Without the silencer and box it did 391rwhp....bonestock. With the mods he has listed it should be around 450-470+rwhp depending on how good of a tune he has. $25k is a good price!

SV-1000 would be a great bike, I forgot about that. It's pretty much the bandit replacement so it is a lot more refined IMO.

Are you guys kidding....? He's 255lbs. and wants to ride with a passenger. 600's and liter bikes are out unless you only plan on riding about 20-miles at a time. I would rather be comfortable than look cool on the latest and greatest thing. 1, 3, and 4 are good choices but you might want something with better torque for your weight and potential passenger. I would look at a CBR1100XX, ZZR-1200, FJR1300, or something along those lines. You might get away with a liter bike but you are going to feel cramped. Stay away from the TL1000R they suck and you will hate it. The R1 would be a fun bike but you might feel like your on a moped with how small it is like other liter bikes. The ZX-9R might be perfect for you but I would def go sit on one and see if you can ride it to test the comfort. Depending on your build, it could be perfect or just a tad uncomfortable.

If the fluid is gone, there is no pressure and it is mechanically impossible on a bike.
