Coke, I would try practice, practice, and more practice before you do anything to the bike. It is pointless for you to add more power or make changes to a bike that you aren't getting 100% out of anyway. Once you are at least getting within 1/2 a second of the published times for your machine then I would maybe try a few things. The easiest and cheapest mod for the 1/4-mile would be to lower the bike. Get a $15 strap for the front and some $20 links for the rear. That should get your 60' where it should be and you should be in the 10's pretty easy. Otherwise, you can mix up the sprockets but 2-down on the front is a bad idea. Not enough sprocket wrap and it will be to wheelie prone. I would try -1 tooth on the front just to see if you like it. If your improving, you might swap out the rear sprocket +1 or +2. You are still better off just learning to ride and then slamming it for the 1/4-mile track only. You can always raise it back up (10-minutes) and it's cheap. The best mods for the money if your straight line racing. Otherwise save your money until your ready for a bigger bike. For what it would cost to Turbo a 600cc bike or even do serious engine mods, you could just get a much bigger, badder, faster bike! Plus what are you going to do when you blow it up with spray???

The Stig, I understand your intent but it just looks bad and sounds as if you are out to get bikers. I know that isn't the case but it doesn't really mean a lot.....IMO...when you did the same shit at one time or another and now aren't happy when it happened to someone you know. My advice is to talk to your sister and help her to better control the situation if/when it happens again. Why couldn't she just stop/slow down and let them get some distance from her. BABB, Thanks for the info. I am even more ready to go knowing the local 1/8 is going 1/4. That was the only thing I didn't like was finding a 1/4-mile track. Gainsville, Brandenton, etc. are several hours away so that is good news. Nice to hear the street scene is strong because I love the local area! Don't get me wrong the EVO is bad but what's the big deal? It has a TURBO the size of your head on it and SPRAY. Just because the camaro has more cubes and spray means it's unfair? It's street racing, nothing is for sure or as it seems! graemlins/jerkit.gif

That EVO has used it's spray and he even lost using it. A couple videos back he lost to a Camaro that was also on the juice!

These are pics of it before I fixed it. Just to give you an idea of how little damage was done. Other than the scratches on the left nose fairing, the rest has all been replaced. Also the bike was still lowered in these pics for her. It has been raised back up and has a new uncut kickstand and everything. The bike is as it roled off the showroom floor. Who the hell told you that????? Of course you can get full coverage on a sportbike. I pay $253 for 6-months on my Busa and have since I was 21-years old.

I am trying to sell a 2003 Black CBR600RR for a girl at work. She dropped it on the left side but I just replaced all the plastics today except the nose fairing. Otherwise it looks perfect and only has 700miles on it. She is asking $5,500 but is very...very nego. She just wants to get rid of it. Let me know. Josh
