  1. Put about 100 miles on my landspeed bike today to work on some tuning. Passed about 40 other riders while I was out and about. Not much salt to clean off, I was surprised. I like El Nino winters!
  2. I've got drill on the 15-17th and then landspeed racing in Wilmington on the 29th and 30th.... Otherwise I'm down.
  3. You've hit the nail on the head Brian. I always search out the candidate that has a platform that matches the choices and changes I want to see. That always ends up being one of the independents that no one has ever heard of. I can't stand it when people tell me they voted for one of the '2' and the choice was solely because they thought they had to. I try to explain that there are other people running with views that match theirs, and they look at me like I'm a crazy person. And then they say 'well if I vote for one of those my vote won't matter, it only matters if I vote for the Dem or Repub.'. It's that thought process that has ruined the system, and why it will be nearly impossible to change.
  4. Yep was referring to civil. What made me ask was the fact that he signed some agreement, does that prevent a civil suit?
  5. Did you have a lawyer for this? You are due much more than current medical bills and $1k....
  6. If you aren't doing it for money, just get the cheap Chinese knockoff. They work just as well. Check out the reviews. My 'main' camera for things is a GoPro, and I use the $50 generics for alternate views.
  7. Oh that's tempting... Even being furloughed that's tempting....
  8. No but I should be. If I ever got it done it will be a track bike. If the RZ is a good price, grab it up. From what I've seen people are asking almost double now compared to a year ago.
  9. Tickets and my job don't get along well... Knowing my work I'd get fired for getting a 5mph over ticket.
  10. I've got a beat rz350. Still debating weather to fix it up and use it as is, or pull the motor and use it in a RS250. I have enough parts to finish a RD400 as well, but will take a lot of work.
  11. No vintage helmets and PBR here. I have short hair and no facial hair, so the hipster crowd wouldn't let me join. I think it started when you could go buy 10 older bikes for the same price of a new one. Unfortunately you can't do that anymore thanks to the hipsters driving up the prices of the old stuff. It's also nice (for the most part) to ride a bike where 100% of the power is usable within the speed limit. Keeps me legal

    Cleveland IMS

I wasn't too impressed this year. Same amount of content, but they condensed the area down. Was tough trying to walk down some of the isles with people stopping to look at snake oil products. Yamaha had some nice 'talent' there. Am I the only one that rode there? I bundled up and ended up not needing to, was an enjoyable ride. A bit of salt to wipe off though.
  13. Howdy all. Not new to the Cleveland area, but new on the site. Browsed these forums for a while but never made an account. Got furloughed last month from work so I have some time to waste on the interwebs now. Been riding bikes in some shape or form for 20 years. Started off with modern machines and have slowly drifted to older and smaller. Currently building a few bikes for specific race purposes but the money is tight now so may take a while. Finished a 400 that will likely see the 3 Ohio mile events this year, and if the motor feels stout on the dyno I may use it as my street bike as well. Seems to idle well enough for it. Going to try and ride it to the IMS show to break the rings in. See you all around.
