unOFFICIAL OR Spring Epic Ride 2017 - May 20, 2017

Being a boat ramp could be a big drawback. Depending on the weather and how many folks decide to go fishing that day. -

That's it. Another idea, is just outside of McC, on 60, there's a closed down car lot that if need be could a decent trailer parking spot for those coming that route. Not sure how many there would be bringing trailers though. -

I'm not sure that the parking lot of the Muskie Memorial could handle the trailer queens. Also, it is a big gravel lot, thinking in terms of kickstand issues or feet slipping on gravel. That being said, there is a little roadside park in McConnelsville that has some shelter and tables right along the river. There are also some local businesses there that may allow a trailer to be parked for the day so as not to hog up the roadside park. -

Maybe early April. we haven't had much snow down this way, but give it time to have a couple good rain showers to wash the shit off the roads.

@TimTheAzn have you tried creating it in Google Maps, saving it in your places, then opening it that way?- 27 replies

I'll put myself down as a maybe. Depends if I can get available or not. If I make it, I'll run sweep for @Tonik -
I agree with @Hellmutt on all of his points. I've had too many guitars to even name all of them, from a cheap Peavey Predator to a Paul Reed Smith Standard 22. One thing to consider trying is going to a local music store and actually hold a few. I don't know if you've small slender hands or big gorilla mitts, but the way the neck feels will make a big impact. Think of it as trying on a helmet. Just because my head says nothing beats a Suomy, yours may be more of an Arai or Shoei. Ibanez necks, in my experience, have usually had a thinner profile, or a slimmer/"flat" feel to them. While ones like my Fender acoustic have a rounded or C-shape neck. When I played bass for awhile, my Warwick had one that felt like a baseball bat. Huge and round, but it was an unfinished neck, that I adore. Also, a plus for going to an electric first, is you can find a decent Squire pack that has everything for aroun 199. Electric strings are both cheaper and a smaller gauge that acoustic strings. They tend to not make your fingertips feel like you've been sliding them up and down a razor blade for a long time. But, again, if you've already got callused hands it won't make a difference.

I kind of felt that way about The Green Mile as well

I'm a HUGE Baldacci fan. He writes suspense/thrillers where the characters are either Secret Service/LEO/Special Forces types. You can't go wrong with any of them and they usually have a series that follows a character. The Camel Club series is a good place to start. Also like Memory Man about a LEO who has an eidictic (sp) memory due to a head injury. That's a really good one as well. One of my all time favorite books is The Bad Place by Dean Koontz

I saw that go across FB the other day. be a fun adventure...but not sure about on the bike. I'd want to nap halfway thru or risk getting a bad case of the meat sweats

1. Honda 2001 CBR600F4i. Bought it in 2004. Had it for roughly 3 months and traded it for a 2. 2001 Honda CBR929RR. Rode that one for a couple of years. Friends stopped riding so I traded it for a quad. Dumbass move. 3. 2006 Suzuki SV1000S. Had the full fairing kit on it. LOVED this bike. No one else was riding and I learned that there were some AMAZING roads around SEO that no one seemed to want to venture a little further than the "normal" roads. That led me to.. 4. 2006 Yamaha FJR1300A. Had this one from about 2k8 until my divorce and birth of my son in 2009. Sold due to divorce in 2010 and had to wait until 2016 to get another bike which was a ... 5. 2008 Triumph ST1050. Liked it enough. was going to need an entire suspension rebuild. Had it for 3 months and traded it for.. 6. 2015 Yamaha FJR1300A. Had always wanted to get another FJR so when I went to Pony to look at a used one, and got offered a smoking deal on a fresh from the crate 2015, I jumped. Hope to keep this one for quite some time.

OUCH! Glad to see you're on the mend! Be prepared to set off the theft deterrent devices at stores. My fake knees do it ALL the time. Kind of embarrassing.
