Thanks man. I've got some vertigo issues going on. I actually had the same problem at the end of the group ride this past spring. I chalked it up to possible dehydration or heat exhaustion. Turns out my BP was pretty high. Taking meds for it now, but am still having some slight dizziness feeling while driving. So I'm not even going to consider swinging a leg over the bike. I suppose if all else fails, I can get a Corvette...

That looks just like my bike...aside from the fact that yours has all the plastic intact and mine is going to be ordered this week. Be cautious with overloading that Givi. If you plan on keeping the FJR for awhile, I'd suggest getting the Givi SR357 rack. It offers a lot more support for the case and looks great as well.

Lol...I wish...its more of a "I'm not able to ride anymore" kind of thing

Depending on what my dr says my 15 may be up for sale...😢

WV recommendations Marietta to Beckley W. of 64/77
thompsonian replied to Mary#17's topic in Daily Ride
Depends on how long you want to take to reach Beckley. Pick up 31S in Williamstown, just across the river and run it US50. Then pick up 16 all the way in. Drops you in on the north side of Beckley. Or run a bit north on 7 to Newport, cross over at St Marys, then run the entire length of 16. Or if you don't mind some slab, take I77 to Mineral Wells, pick up 21S to Sissonville. Pick 77 back up for a short run on 77 to Charleston. Pick up 119 to Danville. Then 85 to 99 to 3 to West Beckley. -
Just a bike. Parts can be replaced. But thanks for the concern man.
-
Yeah. I'm fine. Had a dizzy spell and was pulling off the road when it happened. Was no more than 5mph total.
-
No...theres gonna need to be some parts replaced.
-
I decided to see what happens when you drop it at 5mph....

Welcome! And don't pay any attention to @Tonik. He's just the resident "Get off my lawn" type..

Tubing is not for the faint of heart...

The shine is flowing smoothly tonight!

Why you trying to sell this? You know it's gonna end up in your garage....

If you want to avoid I77, pick up 21S. You can run that to almost Charleston, around Goldtown. That leaves minimal 77. and it's twisty as all get out.

I have not even begun to pack or get ready. Bike is as ready as its gonna get.

One road you shouldn't overlook while you're down that was is WV-99, Bolt Mountain Road. It's FANTASTIC. You could easily detour across it, pick up 85, then I believe it's 10 and be back on original route. Not sure how much time that adds.

Been away a while. New toy last week, thought I'd be "active" again

Doing an Edelweiss tour is on my bucket list

It wont be a Wing. Either an Austrian or an Italian.... I'll call you the second I decide...I'm just having some issues deciding if i really want to or if it's just 2 wheeled lust

Really trying to talk myself out of seriously considering a new bike purchase....

Took mine to @JustinNck1 house and got the oil changed this weekend in prep for the Gap trip. While I was there, took a ride on his Dad's new Wing. That thing is seriously sweet.
