  1. Based on this... http://www.auto-owners.com/corporate-information Seems like it's just an agency.
  2. For what it's worth, I've got a '98 FXDL, and no wobble up to 100 mph. Others may experience different results; I'll admit.
  3. No "reasoning" on my part; going on my experience. Limited to Ohio and Kentucky concerning me or blood family, but that's how it's been.
  4. Perry Mason doesn't count. What experience have you had?
  5. Glad we're going there. County and state prosecutors are no longer interested in truth, justice or your constitutional rights. All that matters is winning; even if the guilty person(s) are known and proof exists. They'll even hide evidence that would prove your innocence. They will take the word of a jailhouse snitch that wants an early parole knowing the asshat is lying through his teeth. They'll make deals and accept reduced sentences for rapists and any other lowlife especially if they roll over on someone, anyone else. Do NOT get me started on defense attorneys. All they want is paid. I've broke laws knowing the penalty. Will continue to do so providing my conscience is clear and I know I'm constitutionally and morally right. I will do so because justice fails me or mine. You can call that revenge if you like, but if a female family member is assaulted and the perprtator walks, ask yourself what would you do?
  6. Crazy fookin' motosickle riders who want to be different and go fast while doing it.
  7. Death sentence is usually for 1st degree murder of one or more people by whatever means. Do you think the murdered victim(s) didn't suffer and take a few minutes to die? I don't care how they execute a murderer.. Hang 'em, shoot 'em, electrocute 'em; doesn't matter. I don't care what a bunch of snowflakes think.
  8. "Air cooled pasta strainer"... thanks for that; just sprayed coffee out my nose!
  9. He's come back twice...I wouldn't count him completely gone. If a good business head ever gets behind him, I would think he'd put out a killer bike. Because as Tpoppa stated he's a lousy businessman but a hell of an engineer.
  10. Profiling. You ride sportbikes; they think you'll run. Cops must like the thrill I guess. You ride a Harley; you must be a 1% from a big club transporting drugs. They want to arrest you and impound your bike. Amazingly the AMA (which coined the "1%" and the image that goes with it) is now pushing to make profiling illegal. Times change I guess. Coincidently, I had an OHP tell me that us Harley riders aren't fun anymore. Bikes are legal, insured and properly licensed. We have drugs alright...prescriptions for diabetes, blood pressure, Viagra...and we don't run usually. I still get pulled over, lied to as to why we're chatting, asked if I have shotgun shells in the ends of my handlebars and how do I shoot them.
  11. It'd be interesting to see how straight it tracks when done. When they eliminated the rear downtube I think they sacrificed some strength.
  12. I hate them too. For some reason bars on sport bikes look ok in black...never got used to anything but chrome on cruiser type bikes. In any event, the dude's got small pp issues or something to run T-bars like that. I can't tell from the pic, but if that's a Dyna frame you know it's probably kinked too. What year is it?
  13. That viewpoint works for the brass a gazillion miles away. You don't want that in the field. Talk to first or second Iraqi veterans or find an old Viet Nam vet and ask what it's like to be 20-30 yards or closer to someone who's trying to kill you. I bet I know they'll say.
  14. Vin number on the frame '70 up. Pre '70 is motor number. Usually on the left side above the timing plug. But so many of them have been "re-numbered" or fully modified (new frame, new cases) it's almost a mute point. I've got a '56 that most would not be sure of the year until they checked the engine number. It is an oil leaking, maintenance $$$ hole in my garage, that I've owned since '78. I'm going to be buried with it.
  15. That's different. No fire is usually no problem. Build a form, lay some screen in it and pour away.
  16. "New Harleys"? You mean 1970 up? As far as drinking and riding people are going to be doing that anyway. It's stupid, irresponsible, and I want your stuff after you kill yourself.
  17. 6.5 or 7.62 would be good. What others (NATO) think is immaterial; 5.56 isn't much more than a squirrel round on steroids. Above all else when you shoot something you want it dead. 5.56 doesn't always get the job done.
  18. Yes I did. What I got is you want to elevate the hearth. The hearth is what the wood rests on and burns. Unless you using gas logs, not just any material is suitable. It has to withstand some intense heat. Otherwise it'll crack so choose the stuff you'll use carefully. And some sort of barrier between the wood of the subfloor and it that will insulate it from the heat. Trust me; you do NOT want a housefire.
  19. If you're after a real fireplace get a pro. I've no idea how many homes here have burned because someone did not know what/how to do it right. If you're just looking for a heat source, I'd go with an insert with blowers. I have a woodburner downstairs (basement) with auxiliary blowers and can heat the whole house with it. For those wanting the view of burning logs they have them with glass doors. Mine does not have glass doors; a screened in frame keeps sparks, ash and flaming logs in. Nothing like a roaring flame in a darkened room to get panties off...
  20. Except for cleaning solvents, rat poison and the like labels are bad.
  21. If the cop did not witness it, he can't cite. This used to go on next county over from me. Stiff-necked assholes afraid you're going to rape the wimmin folk. And if the cops got a call they were on it like shit. Tim has correct answers.
