I'm no expert, and for full disclosure, I haven't owned a H-D since I sold my '85 FXRS nearly 30 years ago....which, by the way, handled surprisingly well.  From what I've read on a few other forums, the wobble was a real problem for several models that had both rubber-mounted engines and rear swingarm--ostensibly to quell the vibes--and not an quality issue thru the entire line-up.  Pretty sure the newer models have been redesigned to eliminate this.

For what it's worth, I've got a '98 FXDL, and no wobble up to 100 mph.  Others may experience different results; I'll admit.

Professional stereotypes are based in fact, but there are honest mechanics. There are smart and hard working trash collectors. There are even strippers paying their way through college.

Its not unreasonable to believe there are honest prosecutors.

    My current job.

Youre trying to tell me that I, and all my coworkers are "just out to win."  I can unequivocally tell you that our boss has fired and will fire people for that attitude.

We are mandated to pursue justice and present the truth - whether it helps our case or not.

I cant stop you from generalizing, and there are certainly some assholes who fit the mold you describe, but to claim that everything is an injustice is patently false.

No "reasoning" on my part; going on my experience.  Limited to Ohio and Kentucky concerning me or blood family, but that's how it's been.

12 percent of all death row inmates are totally exonerated....not only spared the death penalty but actually determined innocent and set free. And it happens at a rate of 130 times more than general crimes.  Chances are extremely high that we have murdered a great many innocent people in cold blood in the name of the death penalty.

Those in favor of the death penalty are at the very least guilty of conspiracy to commit murder and should be put to death.

    Glad we're going there.

County and state prosecutors are no longer interested in truth, justice or your constitutional rights.  All that matters is winning; even if the guilty person(s) are known and proof exists.  They'll even hide evidence that would prove your innocence.  They will take the word of a jailhouse snitch that wants an early parole knowing the asshat is lying through his teeth.  They'll make deals and accept reduced sentences for rapists and any other lowlife especially if they roll over on someone, anyone else.  Do NOT get me started on defense attorneys.  All they want is paid.

I've broke laws knowing the penalty.  Will continue to do so providing my conscience is clear and I know I'm constitutionally and morally right.  I will do so because justice fails me or mine.  You can call that revenge if you like, but if a female family member is assaulted and the perprtator walks, ask yourself what would you do?

"Air cooled pasta strainer"... thanks for that; just sprayed coffee out my nose!

  5. He's come back twice...I wouldn't count him completely gone.  If a good business head ever gets behind him, I would think he'd put out a killer bike.  Because as Tpoppa stated he's a lousy businessman but a hell of an engineer.

My husband and I got pulled over for doing 57 in a 55. Trooper said he figured we'd run. Asshat. So moral of the story is sometimes you will be pulled over even if you aren't doing anything wrong. But, it sounds like you know your speedo is accurate. We both use WAZE while riding and it shows our speedos are both off a little bit. Although I'm assuming that WAZE is mostly accurate as well which may not be true. :)

Profiling.  You ride sportbikes; they think you'll run.  Cops must like the thrill I guess.  You ride a Harley; you must be a 1% from a big club transporting drugs.  They want to arrest you and impound your bike.

Amazingly the AMA (which coined the "1%" and the image that goes with it) is now pushing to make profiling illegal.  Times change I guess.

Coincidently, I had an OHP tell me that us Harley riders aren't fun anymore.  Bikes are legal, insured and properly licensed.  We have drugs alright...prescriptions for diabetes, blood pressure, Viagra...and we don't run usually.  I still get pulled over, lied to as to why we're chatting, asked if I have shotgun shells in the ends of my handlebars and how do I shoot them.

2015 Dyna low rider No stress marks or abnormalities on the frame. Tank dented, rear pulley bent, belt guard twisted, rear fender bent, broke 3 of 4 blinkers. Bike should have been totaled but insurance was expired (Rider insurance dropped everyone in WV).

It'd be interesting to see how straight it tracks when done.  When they eliminated the rear downtube I think they sacrificed some strength.

  8. I hate them too.  For some reason bars on sport bikes look ok in black...never got used to anything but chrome on cruiser type bikes.

In any event, the dude's got small pp issues or something to run T-bars like that.  I can't tell from the pic, but if that's a Dyna frame you know it's probably kinked too.  What year is it?

  9. That viewpoint works for the brass a gazillion miles away.  You don't want that in the field.  Talk to first or second Iraqi veterans or find an old Viet Nam vet and ask what it's like to be 20-30 yards or closer to someone who's trying to kill you.  I bet I know they'll say.

Right???  How can you tell what year (or decade for that matter) a HD is?  Havent changed the look since 1942.:D

Vin number on the frame '70 up.  Pre '70 is motor number.  Usually on the left side above the timing plug.  But so many of them have been "re-numbered" or fully modified (new frame, new cases) it's almost a mute point.  I've got a '56 that most would not be sure of the year until they checked the engine number.

It is an oil leaking, maintenance $$$ hole in my garage, that I've owned since '78.  I'm going to be buried with it.

P320 will be a remarkable improvement over the M9 POS.  And I agree with you on the modular rifle concept also....but I don't see them moving away from the 5.56 anytime in the next decade or two. First question is what would you want to replace it with????

6.5 or 7.62 would be good.  What others (NATO) think is immaterial; 5.56 isn't much more than a squirrel round on steroids.  Above all else when you shoot something you want it dead.  5.56 doesn't always get the job done.

  12. Yes I did.  What I got is you want to elevate the hearth.  The hearth is what the wood rests on and burns.  Unless you using gas logs, not just any material is suitable.  It has to withstand some intense heat.  Otherwise it'll crack so choose the stuff you'll use carefully.  And some sort of barrier between the wood of the subfloor and it that will insulate it from the heat.  Trust me; you do NOT want a housefire.

  13. If you're after a real fireplace get a pro.  I've no idea how many homes here have burned because someone did not know what/how to do it right.

If you're just looking for a heat source, I'd go with an insert with blowers.  I have a woodburner downstairs (basement) with auxiliary blowers and can heat the whole house with it.  For those wanting the view of burning logs they have them with glass doors.  Mine does not have glass doors; a screened in frame keeps sparks, ash and flaming logs in.  Nothing like a roaring flame in a darkened room to get panties off... :D

That place is so overcrowded that walking down the sidewalk was a fucking adventure.  A person in front of me stopped and I started getting pushed from behind by the herd.  Nice place to visit once....other than that fuck it.     I'd rather spend time in Chiraq and that isn't saying much.  I grew up just outside of Chicago so it's not like I am spooked by populated areas.

Man knows what he's talking about.
