Not to add to things but if anyone is still looking for accommodations.... this place next door to the Townsend Gateway Inn has houses for rent at $200/night that supposedly sleep up to 16 people. http://talleyhoinn.com/the-inn.html

I looked into booking at the Gateway Inn and it seems that every room is booked. I snozed I lozed, yeah yeah, sadly I didn't know the wedding plans until after the first of the year and by that time Gateway was booked solid.

That said, I am looking at going down a bit early. I *MIGHT* do the Mid-O track day the Monday (18th) of that week but if I don't I might head down to Townsend instead. May be looking for a roommate to keep costs down. This place also has 2 bed, fridge and microwave rooms for $89/night and single small rooms for $69/night. Very reasonable and has good reviews.

I believe there were a couple places right beside Townsend gateway. Just north of it

Yours has linked brakes dosnt it?

Mine does not, wonder how many less lines mine has. Still rocking the stock lines on my 08.

Yep. Linked &ABS. Thinking yours is a 5 line kit. 2012 model is a combination of hard lines and soft. Masters to ABS pump then ABS pump back out to the calipers. 5 of my lines are under the fuel tank. Clutch line is part of the kits as well. Definitely gonna know my way around this thing before winters over. Trying to talk myself into traxxion dynamics suspension. But $$$$$

  3. Valve adjustment complete and throttle bodies synced. Also cleaned out the cooling system and topped it off with fresh coolant. Got my new radiator guard installed, drained the oil and called it a day. The whole valve adjustment wasn’t nearly as difficult as some make it out to be just take time. Lots of it.

  4. I picked up a Connie last fall and I’m very happy with the bike. Handles great and still very comfortable. Tons of power.  The bag system is awesome and nothing looks out of place when there removed. I have zero experience with the others listed but it’s my understanding it comes down to small preferences. I’ve always been a Kawi guy so I didn’t look very hard at the other options.

Damn that was a lot. At 39k miles only 2 of mine were out but just barely. I have 60k now. I wasn't going to check them again till 90 to 100k.

I was shocked. Expected to be on the tight side of spec after doing other Kawi 4’s but some were way out. Even all the ones in spec were on the tight side but one. It was perfect. Thought that motor was awfully quiet.

  6. I go with the hornady for 380. I’ve carried a lot of different guns but.....  After I bought a lcp for my wife I ended up with one myself. I’ve carried a shield, glock, lc9, sig, kahr and always end up back with the lcp. It’s so easy to conceal and I have no concerns with it getting beat up from use. Defiantly not a range toy but more than accurate enough to hit man size targets at a defensive distance. Lots of folks run on the small caliber for an edc but I’m more likely to carry it than anything else because it’s convenient and easy to carry. My 1911 wouldn’t be much help if I needed it and it was in the safe.
