  1. Ditto on all the above-says the Killbuck Kid, aka lil' carbs. Uh, CR19, which part there's three ya know? See a local for your tour guide needs, or a least pop for a buck at the county engineer's office for the pretty colored county road maps. ;>)

This weekend was meet folks at Utica/Pioneer restaurant and meander them back to local area. 586 s to 79 to Warsaw and one part of Cr 19 then yet another Cr to pop out on 62 and then 520 to 514 to wander back to 715 (36) and then way everywhere to 541 and brought the tourists back to Martinsburg. Pointed them home from there.

So looks like we missed ya folksies, even though we was buzzing the same area. Jeez

    Adam, check yer PM.

  2. Tractor Supply and wire the electric cattle fence up to it. Just don't forget to unplug it before you go ride (or you may have that Matrix moment). Oh and water area down too-doubles the voltage or was that amps? Uh, so I've heard-just sayin'

  3. Pitino told police he had consensual relations with accuser

By Andrew Wolfson, The ( Louisville ) Courier-Journal

University of Louisville men's basketball coach Rick Pitino told police that he had consensual relations with Karen Cunagin Sypher at a Louisville restaurant where he'd been drinking on Aug. 1, 2003.

This naturally leads to much speculation regarding what restaurant could he possibly have been in when this event occurred.

    Some possibilities:

  4. Ah, didn't leave a number as we jist was right there (1/4 mile away anyway). I just popped over between eats-ya missed the ribs, then the burgers, and then the desserts. You couldn't smell the smoke from the cookin'?

We'll try and save the drinks for ya...oops too late!

You was gone on my last peek (7:45PM). Next time then.

Last group with probs was parked across the road at the wide spot on 60-that was only a battery (Triumph)-insert your British electric jokes here!

We were just back from SR60, 206, 541 and 79 links....as the promised earlier group (from Columbus) cancelled-elsewise, we was doin' 555 as well. We were to meet at Martinsburg, drop down 586 to 79 and then 60 (South)...we actually looked at 78 as well. Great minds think alike, whot?

My evil side thought of just pushin' yer bike to my place and havin' ya "freek". What else to do on a lazy Sunday?

  5. Text on bike? Keep your phone in the bag with the french fries, the burger in the left hand and put the drink on seat between your legs. Burger to mouth then using your now free left hand, flip and text using yer thumb!

    Somebody mentioned studies?

BKRS @ GR8 RSK FROM TXTRS:

Survey says, Reaction time for driver increased by 34.7%, if composing text. Reaction time for someone legally drunk is 12.4%, if you're on weed it's 21%. Handsfree set? Nope, 26.5%. Talking on a hand held phone effects reaction time by 45.9 %

Drifting lanes while reading? 13%. If reading text messages make that a whopping 92%. The drunks and stoners-@ 35%. Female drivers found it harder to stay in lanes than male drivers. Strangely, the study by RAC Foundation, found that ignoring incoming calls had no negative effect on driving what-so-ever. Huh? Imagine that!

Survey by AutoTrader and RAC continues with 45% of drivers (18-24) admitted to texting while driving. Summarizing, research shows, that texting drivers were unable to keep in lane or maintain a safe distance from vehicle in front, and with their reaction time plummeting by 35%. Better reaction times by drunks and stoners. Where are all them indignant 'mothers against' now. I'd bet their lil darlin's all have cell phones.

Rant over, downshift and rush by and distance yourself. ;>P

It's against the law to shoot stoopid people.

  6. Oops, too late with Roadracing World article link. This month's magazine and last month's too. They did have the racy one at the IX Ctr Bike show. Now I'm torn between the 1300s and this 1000rr, or the GS.....somewhere in alll that reading was a quote about waiting until the Japanese announced their prices and then BMW would go a little under (have to look back thru articles to see which was who?).

The yen's value has changed and now prices will increase. So how much will everything go up, so BMW can come in a little under?

Monday, July 27th, Addendum. Yes, they had a 'demo' ride set up for today. I got info on Friday @ Vintage Weekend. Fill out the form online (via Sportbiketracktime), and NO, I never found the link. Sent along a nice note via email expressing my disappointment re:

Showed up at track for the heck of it this morning anyway, nice weather and nice roads from my place to track. Ya never know it coulda happened.

Quick to rev, sounds tight. Nice bike (these were pre-production bikes available today). Pics to follow, if I can find the cord to the camera.

I did get to check out the K1300S, as well.

  7. Nice pics. I've been playing with camera, nothing exciting, just more of this is the neighborhood type of thing. Have strung some together into a slide show with pirated music, but it won't post-system doesn't recognize format(?). It doesn't like the DVD's that were made either.

    Keep postin' 'em and thanks.

NEWARK -- An Ohio Highway Patrol trooper pleaded not guilty Wednesday morning to a 147-mph speeding ticket after he learned the judge intended to suspend his driver's license. Jason E. Highsmith, 35, was clocked at well in excess of double the 65 mph posted speed limit on the Licking Township portion of Interstate 70 on June 28.

    It gets better.....

    http://www.nbc4i.com/cmh/news/local/articl...speeding/19172/

He was riding with a Gahanna Police Department officer whose speed was timed at 149 mph. Christopher Thomas, 33, will appear in court next week. Both men were riding 2008 Kawasaki motorcycles.

New the Gahanna police office is on disability......not for long I'll bet

GAHANNA, Ohio — A police officer could have to deal with more than just traffic court after he was cited for allegedly riding his motorcycle at nearly 150 mph.

Gahanna police Officer Christopher Thomas has been on disability since December, and now the Bureau of Workers' Compensation plans to join the investigation, 10 Investigates' Paul Aker reported.

Last month, Thomas and Ohio State Highway Trooper Jason Highsmith were pulled over along Interstate 70. Troopers said the men were traveling nearly 150 mph on their motorcycles.

    SLIDESHOW: Images From Traffic Stop

According to records obtained by 10 Investigates, Thomas has been on paid leave since hurting himself in a fall on Dec. 20. The records say he slipped on ice and injured his chin and strained his upper back.

Taxpayers have been paying his $34 an hour salary since, Aker reported

    Then there is this...

    http://www.onntv.com/live/content/local/st...op.html?sid=102

"I've got a couple of motorcycles; look like bullets coming at you," the pilot sad.

One of the motorcyclists, off-duty Trooper Jason Highsmith, was traveling at 147 mph. The other man, off-duty Gahanna police Officer Christopher Thomas, was clocked at 149 mph, Hirsch reported.

After they were pulled over, the men quickly pointed out that they were law officers.

"Either of you have anything on you I need to know about?" the trooper asked.

"No, sir," Highsmith said. "A couple of badges, some guns and (expletive) like that."

A third rider was pulled over but was not cited because the plane's pilot did not record his speed, Hirsch reported.

"He's definitely guilty but I've got no watch times on him," the pilot said. "I've got nothing on him."

The three motorcyclists continued to chat with troopers after being pulled over, even joking around about how fast they were riding, Hirsch reported.

Then, for reasons unknown, one of the uniformed troopers did something the patrol called "unusual." The trooper shut the microphone to his cruiser camera off.
