  1. Please define the "IPS nutswingers" for me? As far as the rest of your post goes all I can do is laugh Jeff
  2. This is about the 75th time I have read about the "IPS Guy's" being "Threatened" by Rob and his little shop. I post one time about him using a picture of Eric's RX7 that we did the LS1 swap on in his little flyer and ever since all I hear about is how we are so worried about him and blah blah blah. I honestly could care less what he does or who he does it for or how little he charges to do it. Why Rob has so little confidence in himself/his shop to keep my one post (That was strictly about taste and nothing to do with quality of work or anything else) that day going all the way to now is beyond me. Nobody cares !!!! LOL. I am glad in your little world everybody else is talking about you 24/7 and are so enamored with your skills (Both English and otherwise). You are your biggest fan and your biggest hater all in one -- congrats! Now, on to your next point. Yes, it has been brought to our attention that we are too much of a "High-end" shop now and are out of touch with "Most" of the active CR members that can't afford to pay "Top dollar" to have work done. Keep in mind, last I checked our $75/hour rate is less than the typical dealership rate and on-par with what Slow-Motion and Auto Assets and other performance shops charge in town. That being said, we have expanded to the point where I am able to be more flexible. Instead of that labor rate needing to go up to cover my bills, it can actually go down, a lot down. I will make a separate post tomorrow about our new CR labor rate and price-match policy. Certain Vendors that probably get 95% of their business from here might not be so crazy about it but it will level out the playing field a little bit for those of us that get very little Jeff
  3. Apparently I need to lay the sarcasm on a little thicker...
  4. He got kicked out of Kilkare after the first pass so I guess we will have to put a 10-pt in a SUV lol. Jeff
  5. I'll post the video whenever we have a spare minute to pull it off the camera. So yes, even I can think it dropped over a second at the track because I watched it do so. Since I am not sure if you could have used any more "!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?" I will accept an apology after you watch it Jeff
  6. It depends how much we are betting. If its enough I just might let him take a day off and toss in a 427 Jeff
  7. I will put money on that race if/when you ever put it back together -- assuming Tommy still owns the TBSS then
  8. Since I have seen it make full passes (And hook-up) in front of the shop on the same slicks he races on at the track I am pretty sure traction won't be an issue. I would only hope that Trails or Kilkare is better prepped than Harmon Ave lol. Tommy has been the "Wheel-man" while Eric is tuning for too many 600 / 700 / 900 / 1000 / 1100 HP cars to count so I think he knows how to drive just a little bit The thread title was obviously Eric being sarcastic. I honestly could care less if there are 50 faster TBSS' in Columbus. I only responded because somebody said there were for sure and if so I would put money on that race all day long. Where are they at? Jeff
  9. I have to post up the pics from yesterday. I think we had 5 C6Z's all out front posing We are just finishing a Pro-charged 396 LT1 Z28 now so I will toss up some pics/numbers from it as soon as we are finished for the LT1 guys Jeff
  10. The kit came with 60lb injectors and a BAP It needs more injector to run 7psi / Meth as that will put the car in the 660-670rwhp range (With an 8-rib conversion). Thanks! We have been getting in all kinds of fun projects lately Jeff
  11. Car is bone-stock minus the base ESC Supercharger Kit and some non-performance add-ons we did (Gauges / PFADT 4-pt harness bar / Painted Lamps). He didn't spring for the 8-rib conversion so it was getting a ton of belt-slip. We actually didn't even end up doing a full pull (At 7psi) because it slipped so bad above 6k rpm. With a larger pulley making 5psi the car lost about 30rwhp but had a much cleaner graph and built power all the way to 7k. Still not bad power for a stock car with a $5k SC Kit and install http://ipsmotorsports.net/pictures/Phil%2006%20Z06.jpg http://ipsmotorsports.net/pictures/PhilC6Zdyno%20(2).JPG http://ipsmotorsports.net/pictures/PhilMc6Zdone.JPG
  12. It won't run 10s (As-is) and nobody ever said it was going to. It will run low 11s easily based on the power picked up on the dyno after what it ran at the track last weekend. Tommy told everybody he was running a 150-shot because he thought he was. If gaining 80-ish rwhp equals a 150-shot then I guess he is running a 300-shot now lol. Jeff
  13. Owners always customize their set-ups to whatever fits them (Drag / Auto-x / Street / Road-race) so we have done about every possible combination of engine/tranny options at this point. We have done a few blower / auto C6Z conversions (The black car from Texas for example) as opposed to twin-turbo's. We have done a lot of nitrous and heads/cam builds as well so it all just depends on the owner. Since we are PFADT's largest distributor in the midwest we also have quite a few cars that show up for nothing but extensive suspension and brake upgrades as the cars are plenty fast for road-racing bone stock Jeff
  14. That is why I tried taking a close-up of the 427-badge with the cheap-o shop camera but it really doesn't show how cool the color is. It really does look a million times better in person. Just don't wreck it, the paint is STUPID expensive lol. Jeff
  15. Tommy has made about 37 passes so far this year in his TBSS. Its a built auto. Its consistent as hell. Running 11.80s with only 80ish HP from the spray as opposed to the 130ish HP he has now will drop that to low 11s all day. The 80hp addition from the spray took it from 13.0s to 11.80s for reference last weekend. I didn't think it took a rocket-scientist to conclude that you would need to run high 10s to beat something running low 11s lol. I guess I was wrong... Jeff PS -- Even if it runs 12.0's I have yet to be told about a faster one that would like to show up and race tonight / tomorrow night / Friday night / this weekend? Why don't you bring the Formula out of hibernation to get walked by a Big-ass SUV
  16. He thought he did but never got a chance to dyno it prior. On the jets he had in at the track it only made an additional 85-90rwhp. Jeff
  17. I never said it did. Just that you better be running 10s if you hope to beat it Jeff
  18. We got a new '08 C6Z to work on in JSB I LOVE this color in person and can't wait to see how it sounds with the new heads/cam and Kooks headers etc etc we are adding on. We will toss up some before/after dyno #s once the cam arrives http://ipsmotorsports.net/pictures/MarkMc6z.JPG http://ipsmotorsports.net/pictures/MarkMc6z%20(3).JPG http://ipsmotorsports.net/pictures/MarkMc6z%20(4).JPG
  19. It had the cold-air intake and the Corsa cat-back on it for its base-line pulls. Jeff
  20. That is the one. It is his daily so it sees quite a few miles and most of them aren't very easy Jeff
  21. Find one of them and I have $20 on it
  22. It sucks that you had all the issues to begin with. Take it back to your buddy and get all the install-issues taken care of and then shoot it back so we can finish tuning it. Car should make good power with all the bugs worked out for sure Us finding out late Friday that as we raised the boost the power kept falling (Bad boost-leak obviously) didn't leave much time to get things corrected. Sorry that when you called on Saturday we had 40+ people here for the dyno-day (See pics in the Pics/Vids Section) so we couldn't answer / locate everything right away. Get her all square and we will pick right up where we left off Jeff
