Well the trailer is older so I'd say around 3000 would be a safe number, plus another 1200-1300 for the horse or double that if we took both. The downside is that this is on a limited budget, yea an EcoBoost would be great or a nice modified Diesel, but I put my chips into another truck with ZERO towing capacity. We need to get cheaper hobbies; cars, skiing, horses...

So at the very least I should be looking into a 1/2-ton Ram, Silverado, F150, Tahoe, Navigator, etc.

This is more of a horse question, but I figure boats are similar in weight. We'll be using a Steel 2-horse bumper pull, straight load trailer with brakes and without a dressing room...I believe the brand is Valley or something along those lines. It will just be one horse for the most part and she is 16+ hands and a little fat, and only go to local shows maybe a couple times a month during the Summer season. I've been trying to research this on Google but I always seem to end up on a British site or Dressage site where money is of no object and no one will pull their horse without at least a 2500 Diesel. This will have to be my DD and I don't want to drive an Excursion or Suburban daily. I've been looking at vehicles with at least a 5000lb. tow capacity, but I don't know if the mid-size SUV's/Trucks will be able to handle it well ie: Durango, Grand Cherokee, Infiniti QX4, Explorer, S10 ZR2 with the 4.3, etc. Any suggestions from the towers in the room?

If you've ever wanted to see the face of pure terror as you run over a squirrel...now you can! Hi I'm Troy McClure.

Any suggestions on getting a repair done for a convertible top? Its a C5 vert and the rear windshield has come unglued, which was common for these. The window is fine, just needs refastened. I called Safelite and they dont do it...called a dealership and they want to replace the entire top. Ive seen people on the forums do it to their own but I dont have the crazy suction cups or equipment.

Need to sell my daily to pick up something with towing capacity. The GOOD: 102,000 miles Clean inside/out New tires No major mechanical issues 28-30mpg Highway The BAD: Blower motor does not work, replaced motor, motor resistor and fan speed controller..worked for a couple days and stopped. Rear passenger brake chatter (missing clip maybe) Driver window comes off track Rear Defrost stopped working Rear hatch lift does not stay open by itself Magically developed a small crack near bottom of windshield Might be some other stupid little things I'm not thinking of, but those are the most noticeable. I use this as my DD and it's been very reliable and always starts. However, there always seems to be some minor annoyance wrong with it, other than that it's a solid little car. http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa15/1Quik7/CAM00224_zpseec1cb39.jpg http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa15/1Quik7/CAM00227_zps076c2604.jpg http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa15/1Quik7/CAM00229_zps167518cb.jpg http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa15/1Quik7/CAM00226_zps7deaed42.jpg

Yes. I've had rash waaaay worse than that, like 1inch wide and all over the rim with a dent in the lip (never let your girl park), and they made them look new again.

Try Crafted Drafts off Hamilton in northern Gahanna....extensive beer/root beer selection, all single bottles are color coded by type or region with tasting notes as well. Lots of local brews I've never heard of too. Great place.

Hocking was def the most fun. Usually a lot of party floatillas and people having a good time, plus good rope swings along the way. We also went to one on the Scioto just south of Columbus with the same type of vibe...just really dirty compared to Hocking,

Take it to CAHS, in Hillard. That dog will be gone in a couple weeks there, they move through the little yappers quite quickly.

This. I used just excess cardboard and folded a bunch of it to fill the gaps. I shipped a set of 18's with tires from here to Houston for $250ish. It was the only place I tried other than placing them on Uship, which I got quotes for double and triple that.

Might be a small world, I sold my Forgelines to a guy in Houston....the exact wheels the white car has. They were custom built and pretty rare so chances are that's them. -
I'm pretty happy with my LG. It's slightly bigger than the S4 but not as big as the Note, kinda the perfect size imho. And the button on the back comes in handy at the oddest times.

Hey Trish, can you PM me as well. Looking for October 11th. Do you have some galleries to look at?

Yea, the GoPro makes it even worse with the fish-eye lens. Here is the Stairway to Heaven one

I'm thinking 5000lbs should be sufficient.

I need to get a new beater and need something that will be capable of towing horses. Not too picky, just looking for something that's not beat and can sit in front of the house without embarrassing the wife. Prefer an SUV, I already have a truck that sucks down the gas.

I'm unemployed and I drink. I have a degree in Network Administration and have almost finished one in Computer Programming (out of money for school). No certs. Before this current state of bliss I refurbished electronics/updated the website for Micro Center; and I enjoyed a brief stint as a Network Admin for Time Warner.

I got a nice layoff for my Christmas gift...so I just sent in my resume.

We had to show our IDs and get a pat down going into the main theater building on a summer weekend night. At the time we were 30 or near 30, I really doubt we would pass as teenagers. Easton was built on the wrong side of 270.

I voted Toyota as well. We have a lot of foreigners in the neighborhood and around the Polaris area and I swear they all have Toyotas (mostly mini-vans).

Time to put the football jersey back in the closet and break out the basketball shorts.

This. I get boxers, socks and like 6 months worth of soft quality toilet paper.

I saw 22-24mpg in mine with intake/exhaust, I never really romped it much either. After throwing some decent All-Seasons on it, she was surprisingly tame in the snow. I have a C5 Vette, same mods as well and it gets a lot better mileage, prolly upper 20's, but it's a lot more slippery through the air, they have pretty low drag. I think you've priced your truck fair. I know the Cummins hold their value, prolly can't find one under $15k for that year.
