can you PM me how much the shifter install was? i was thinking about getting one and doing it myself, but it seems like a real pain without a lift. also, go to http://www.cadillacfaq.com it'll be your best friend to work out some stupid bugs these cars have.

i'd be willing to bet there are some far scarier things that have yet to be discovered.

wasn't me....i've had this car for about 3yrs.

in all honesty...i'm not looking to keep the car, an LSx swap would be nice if it were do-able within a budget...but the car prolly blew to my reckless nature and not keeping up to date on maintenance? i thought about buying a used motor, but after installation and everything, it's still going to cost a lot of money on a car that really isn't built to last. it's got about 76k on it. i've gotten a few PM's on the car...it's pretty clean other than a few dings from the parking lot...spots where the wife curbed the rims....oh and a blown motor. I'd give it an 8/10. not really sure if i should sink more money into it...or shit and get off the pot.

ok, so my '02 C32 AMG blew it's motor...insurance isn't going to cover it...and since the motor is an AMG is costs more than the car is worth to have one built, and even to have mine rebuilt still exceeds half of the cars worth....plus it's going on 80k miles so there's no need to put another engine in it since these cars aren't made to last forever. so, here i am with a nice DD with a $billion$ dollar blown engine...and have no idea what to do with it. i'd hate not to pick up at least a few thousand on it. do i have any options? salvage yard? scrap? parts car? anyone have a friend who does this or could help me out?

i'm originally from Cville...don't go down very much anymore. I always remember there being quite a few 5.0's around town though.

after owning turbo cars, it's hard to drive anything else...it just feels so nice. especially when you go with a large turbo and get some more lag...then you get even more of the anticipation of having the car spool up faster and faster...then BAM! the kick in the pants of full boost. the daily is supercharged, and it makes me miss my S4, instant power is nice, but again i like the lag and build of boost feeling. N/A is to lateral, it's almost boring. Nitrous is nice for a little boost, but yea, it's limited to the size of your bottle and your wallet that week.

pretty sad. i foresee a 'Help Wanted' ad in the near future...something about a head coaching position at the University of Michigan, seeking immediate help, no experience necessary!

well it started a couple weeks ago, got home from a weekend away and her car just dies...so i jump it, she gets home, has her alternator and battery checked, they are bad, so has them replaced. after that her battery light still kept coming on, so she had the new alternator checked, it was puting out pretty low power, so they gave her another new one. i guess the same problem remains, only putting out 12v or something, i dunno wasn't present at the time. she came home this weekend, said the car was jolting, it's an auto and would only shift into 3rd gear, and it just plain dies on her on the highway...and it was giving off a very strange buzz sound i could even hear over the phone. so i go down to help her out, disconnect the neg cable to try and clear any bad codes, the car starts right up, we get onto the highway and 100yds later it dies.

the old ball and chain's car broke down....think it is computer related, at least i know for sure it's electrical. anywho, might need a hookup on some diagnostics or even some replacement parts oh yea, it's an '04 Mazda 6...just had new battery and alternator installed a few days ago, so those should b good, they tested as much. thanks for any help or advice.

good friend and actually my manager has a '94 Mazda 626 2.5l manual...and his flywheel is cracked and clutch is burnt out, he said Mazda dealership he called wanted like $600 for both. anywhere around here that would carry this kinda thing....or anyone have a hookup at a dealership?

i had a B5 S4 with an MTM chip, upgraded intercoolers and some other small stuff....it was honestly my most favorite DD i've ever owned. i don't think it's as fast as the AMG in the top end, but it was just more overall fun to drive.

so it sounds gay but i don't care, i have a necklace that has sentimental value to me and my new kittens have chewed it up, luckily the pendant is fine, but i need a new 'rope'. it had one of those black wax covered strings that had 2 sliding double knots to adjust length... anyways, i have no idea where to find a replacement i've been to Micheals or whatever and they just have plain rope, not the wax kind.......maybe a little craftshop that could do it for me, any help?
