  2. After 15+ years in IT, I've figured out that what I think is simple and comes second nature to me, can confuse the fuck out of a normal person with a 100 IQ. And I weep for those people...
  3. A+. Or so says my military ID...
  4. I've been on CR since the beginning. Before the beginning, before there was this message board. It's the same shit every year, every spot. There's always a group that ruins it for everyone else. And Jones said it, 99% of them aren't from this message board.
  5. I ended up using the PB Blaster, my propane torch, and vice grips to get the torx bolts off. Just could not get enough leverage to keep those sockets in there. I ended up replacing the bolts with the hex heads. Thanks to all who helped!

    Workout Advice

Great advice. A lot of this is how I was able to lose 80+ pounds and keep it off...
  7. Thanks, I'll try that. Regardless, I'm replacing those bolts, no more Torx!
  8. I probably could. I'm going to get a better Torx socket, plus the PB Blaster and my torch and give it another go tonight first. I'll keep this thread updated with my results...
  9. The only torch I have is propane. Will that work?
  10. Living beyond your means is taking over America. Very sad....
  11. It's not so much stuck, as the torx socket I'm using might just suck. I got the one off and the pin to remove the calipers. But I need to change rotors and the other two torx bolts, I just can't seem to get enough leverage, or get the torx socket to stay in there long enough to get them loose. Why the hell they used these things, I have no idea. You can't get enough grip to loosen them in this area! Anyone have any ideas on how to get them out? I was thinking of jamming a good hex head socket in there and getting them out that way, then swapping those bolts out with a normal hex head bolt. Can anyone give me any tips here? This is on my 1998 Contour SVT...
  12. Mad props for this, Berto! I was literally going to Advance today to get brakes for the Contour! Saw this and saved $40! You rock dude!
  13. I disagree. Banks don't tell me what I can afford. I'm smart enough to figure that out for myself. It's not like they aren't doing anything that wasn't agreed to in a contract. Know your finances, know your limits, know your plan.
  14. Yes, let's blame Chase because I can't pay my fucking bills and I'm too stupid to really understand my own finances...
  15. Great show, can't wait. Last I heard it was supposed to start up on Halloween, earlier would be great! I'm not spoiling it for me by reading the comics though...
  16. Cash is king. I got my roof done years ago with cash and got a great deal done on it. Of course, they screwed up my skylights, hence this thread and the leak I had. I ended up using Marc's uncle, Skylights Plus. He did a great job...
  17. MOP Barber Shop in Hilliard. I've literally been going to this place for 10 years now, since it was in Tuttle Mall. All the girls that cut there do great work...

    Cobra guys

Bought it with 12K miles back in '06. So I'm averaging about 1200 a summer on it. It's still in storage right now. As soon as it warms up to the point of where I don't want to drive the AC-lacking '86 GT, I'll swap them out...

    Cobra guys

Nice looking Cobra. What did you pay for it, if you don't mind me asking? Mine's barely modded, barely driven. Just 18K miles on it...
  20. Is "The Expendables" porn? Then no...
  21. Wow. That freaking sucks, did NOT know that. So basically, it's worse than Giant Eagle's now, right? At least with Giant Eagle, you get 20 cents off every $50 spent?
  22. Giant Eagle gift cards or Kroger. At least with Kroger, you get money off of 4 fill ups. Giant Eagle you only get it off of one. So you'd really have to do the math to figure out which one saves you more money. Basically I shop only at Kroger, and spend just over the $300 range to get the 10 cents off per fill up. But if I'm going out to eat or need a gift card for anything, I hit up Giant Eagle for the gift cards. Build that discount up and use it on the SUV at some point. Lastly, I use a great gas rewards credit card from Pen Fed which gives me 5% back on my gas purchases, given out once a month...
