the possibilities are endless with a cam-less engine.

Honestly, it looks like a pile and someone elses' problem...

He's far from the most impressive. This has been done long before and I'm not sure why he's getting credit for it.

Here's another thing to consider: Whoever you're buying it from in GA, MAKE SURE THEY HAVE A PAPER TITLE. GA has electronic titles and I found out how big of a PITA it is to get the title in my name, here in Ohio. That said, I'll never consider another car from GA for this reason. Ohio title agency will make you jump through every miserable hoop possible- for a minute, I thought I purchased a car I couldn't get a title in my name for, even though I held the original title, bill of sale, and even the current registration as proof. The GA title agencies say Ohio should be able to look up the electronic title, but that is not true. *edit* Also, the dog hair would personally be a walk-away point for me. A pet in the car is something I'm just not okay with, regardless of the price point.

Would not suggest a dealer do a PPI, as stated... Find a third party mechanic that you trust.

I agree with the cost and unfortunately you run the risk of having your equipment vandalized regardless of which system you go with, but the fact that the data is backed up on both the camera and the computer you set it up on, is a plus IMO. I think in most cases vandalism isn't such a big deal if it's up and out of the reach of any intruders, or possibly hidden or out of sight. I don't think either of mine can really be reached, and I have them setup so they're "blackout" with no emitting lights unless they're recording, which I feel would deter people if they could obviously tell they're being recorded. Also, I do believe their software is proprietary, but it works well enough, I'm not sure why you'd want to try and use anything else.

Nothing new.

Yup, the 750 models... I have one of each- Indoor and Outdoor. I got them off Amazon second hand "used" but I couldn't tell they had been used at all. Seems their criteria for "used" is simply open box. You just need one Master camera and then you can just add on 4 or 5 additional cameras. No need to make each one a Master. If you look through their menus, you'll find Masters and Add-ons. FWIW they're extremely simple to setup and maintain and do everything I need. Not overkill at all and they work great.

I got the Logitech indoor/outdoor cameras and they're great. Both are IR with night vision and record based on motion and even time schedules. It's all backed up to a local PC or on Micro SD cards that are actually in the cameras if the local machine is destroyed. I get alerts of motion straight to my phone, and a nice app that lets me access live streaming from the cameras remotely from my iPhone.

It's got some pretty long trips ahead of it this coming summer... hoping for the best! Thanks for all the compliments guys

Guess the car will hate me Pretty much done, yeah... just drive it and enjoy. I actually have a 320mm Momo Monte Carlo in it that I love. At some point it will get the teardrop mirrors, but not until I come across a really good deal on a pair. Other than that, I'll probably look into getting it a proper quality respray. I just plan on driving it a bunch at this point.

Didn't realize part of owning a Porsche was that you had to track it. Better get one before the prices go absolutely crazy!
-
Thanks man... yeah, I was pretty dead set on getting the E26s. They're really the only type of wheel that just looks right on a 964. The cage and seats just tie together the whole motorsport look.

It's just that the 911 in certain years has been so attainable, people who grew up looking at them as a dream car when they were young, are now scooping them up. Obviously this is going to make the market skyrocket. But, I don't see the market coming back down in the future because of the desire of a true air-cooled Porsche. 964 and 993 were among the last and people are really starting to pick up on them.

Definitely a scam http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?zip=43021&endYear=1997&modelCode1=911&sortBy=distanceASC&showcaseOwnerId=0&startYear=1997&makeCode1=POR&numRecords=100&searchRadius=0&mmt=%5BPOR%5B911%5B%5D%5D%5B%5D%5D&listingId=365414661&Log=0

Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Nearly Kills This Driver
Farkas replied to Fubar231's topic in Passing Lane
I'm not sure what to even say... The driver seemed special. -

Lol the roll bar is completely bolt-in, and removal of the rear seat items isn't necessary at all. Although I would like to do an RS carpet kit, I don't have any plans on deleting the rear seat stuff right away. Also, ingress/egress of the rear seat is least of my worries, even before the Recaros... Can't fit anyone back there anyway lol.

Prices on the 964 are going through the roof with no sign of stopping. I'm glad I got mine when I did.

You're going to be disappointed if you think that's going to be a "cheap" toy. I honestly wouldn't pay 15,9 for it.

Alright, sorry for lack of updates. I've been working a lot of overtime hours at work on my night shifts, which has ultimately kept my progress to a minimum. Not to mention, the winter months more or less keep the car stored away in the garage where I can't even think about touching it. Despite the cold, I did manage to get my H&R coilovers installed and got to enjoy the car for a few weeks before the first snowfall. The car runs great and I did find a couple things I needed to address, such as the passenger window switch, the rear spoiler grille and a sensor and resistor in the hot air duct in the engine bay that had my cabin blower motors on the fritz. All costs of repair were pretty cheap and extremely straight forward. Still with minimal oil leakage coming from the underside of the car, which I am extremely pleased with. I deemed that I felt the car was trust worthy enough not to worry about much else and decided I would get a primary muffler delete installed as well. As she sat. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c8/eightsixgts/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_6851.jpg I mentioned before I was pretty keen on getting myself a set of BBS E26s and it wasn't long before I got in touch with Brian once again about sourcing a set. He was able to get me a set faster than I anticipated and I made the plunge on the only set of wheels I really ever imagined owning for this car. Pretty pricey, but completely worth it. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c8/eightsixgts/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_2174.jpg Few pictures JUST before first snowfall. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c8/eightsixgts/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_8949.jpg http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c8/eightsixgts/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_6881.jpg Initially I wasn't too happy with the way the fronts of my E26s sat as they were only 8" wide when I was expecting 9" with a much lower ET. Thankfully, I spoke to Brian and he was generous enough to ship the wheels back on his dime and re-lip and rebarrel them exactly how I was expecting... extremely happy with the accommodation and not a bad thing I can say about the guys at Rotiform. Much happier with the way they fit now. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c8/eightsixgts/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_3053.jpg http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c8/eightsixgts/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_0277.jpg With all that extra OT I've been collecting parts, soon to be installed. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c8/eightsixgts/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_9831.jpg Hoping to get the car entirely ready for Water By the Bridge in Louisville, KY March 22nd. I have all the brackets and sliders, but just need to find the time to get it all sorted out and installed. I know most of the pictures are crappy cell pictures, but I'm hoping I can get some really good pictures of the car at the show when it's closer to the way I envision my 964 being.
