My Avalanche has the 5.3L. I get 15 MPG mixed, 18MPG freeway only. But the Avalanche is heavier than a Silverado (sits on a Suburban frame). Motor wise, I had to replace the alternator due to the bearings starting to make noise. Otherwise, nothing. Tranny has been perfect; I did add a good external cooler when I got it. Up to 118k on the truck now; owned it since 68k. Had a cat converter's internals break loose @ 116k...I, ummm, "cleared out" that issue.

I've whipped enought 4.6's, supercharged 5.4's, 5.0's, LS1's, etc at the track that your point is retarded. But thanks for sharing.

That T/A is beat to shit, plain and simple, and the owner is clueless. T/A is a great choice. THAT T/A is not by any stretch.

You probably got the wrong dept. as they carry automotive power wire as well. That's where I purchased all of the wiring for my Avalanche (though I just went with 4awg for that). I surely wouldn't put home stuff in your vehicle.

They won't raise it, but they also refuse to lower the appraisals as well (of course, they want to keep those taxes up!).

Oh yeah Doc, I mean to ask: - There was a little switch on the front of the center console (not the hazard button on the top...further forward, on the angled portion). What is that for? - Switch on the lower right side of the steering column. Not sure what that was for either. They were both the same kind of switch. Hopefully I will have the Formula together and out this year. The parts are all there, just need to put it together.

Check Anderson's, IIRC they carry either 0 or 2.

+1 How in the hell do you cross shop a T/A with a Contour? There is nothing similar about the two. That T/A is BEAT. Probably not a rear WS6, just a Ram-Air hood put on the car. God knows what crappy work has been done to that poor thing. Of course, if they were really selling it for $1.

I'd say in this market, it will make no difference. No one in this market cares what an appraiser says a house is worth; they care more about what the other homes in the area are going for, and how good of a deal they can get.

I doubt that...my wife had a 01 Sentra SE 2.0, stock, ran perfect, and was a freaking dog. Maybe downhill with a good tailwind. I don't miss that car at all.
