  1. That's not exactly true. House a few down from me just sold for $900 less than their asking price, and it was on the market for a couple days before it went into contract, for 30k more than what the county says it is worth. Not everyone wants to buy a HUD home.
  2. Imagine that, high show standards at a CAR SHOW.
  3. For when I am on the freeway - YES! But most of my driving is under 60 MPH with it, so didn't make that much of a difference to me. Unless I am working on my Reynoldsburg property, I normally don't take it anywhere other than boating or picking something up from Home Depot. Otherwise, work truck during the week, and wife's car for going out to places.
  4. Update: Due to being out of the country and not driving the Avalanche that often, I finally fixed it this morning. Was the driveshaft. Took it to Columbus Joint and Clutch - rear U-joint was worn out, and they had to re-balance it. $80 later, she drives as smooth as ever. Luckily the front joint was perfectly fine, so I was able to keep it.
  5. Been there, and you are exactly right. Bought a 92 V6 RS Camaro back in 97 (couldn't afford a V8 at the time in college that had reasonable miles/condition, and searching for cars online wasn't a useful option back then). I withstood it for about a year and a half, then had to upgrade.
  6. Dude, you are a mental midget: "Dude, that was over a week ago. Where the hell have you been? It is not really funny anymore. It was last week when it was said, so just stop while you are ahead. You tried though." Isn't that much better? When you ask a question, try using a question mark - it is located one key to the right of the period. Why do you end a sentence (or in your case, a sentence fragment) with two periods? When you are calling someone dumb, spelling it "your" is really just pointing out your own ignorance. Try "you're" instead. To add to your barely readable comment, it doesn't matter if the subject was a year ago, it is still funny AND true.
  7. You have to be kidding, right? The Cabrio is 2nd only to a Cabrio Bug as the gayest car made.
  8. Awful idea - want to talk about no resale value at all, even after the neighborhood is built. I have two friend in different areas with these that will never be able to sell them. My wife had a condo for a few years. After living in one for a year, DO NOT BUY A CONDO. For ours: - $250/month in fees. This included snow removal, lawn care, all outside maintenance, and a shared pool with another condo complex (pool was on the other complex's property). - Averaged about $500/year in assesments, for various projects, from roof, to siding, parking lot, etc. - Complex was 40 units, all 2 bed/2bath, long 1 car garage, 1700 sq/ft in a very nice area of town, nice layouts, and HARD TO SELL. Luckily out realtor is excellent, or we would have had a tough time selling it. - Corrupt condo associations. You can see what they are paying for various services, and clearly tell there are kick backs. Ours was paying $20,000 a year in lawn care. Seriously, it was 2 guys mowing once a week (for less than an hour), and doing some flower work/mulch a couple times a year (maybe a day each). Snow removal was insanely priced as well. Repair people were also selected based on being related to board members. Simply put, for the $3500/year can easily take care of anything you need done outside with money left over: - 25 mows @ $50/each = $1300 - 15 snow removals @ $50/each = $750 This leaves you $1450/year for outside repairs. That's plenty for everything else that needs cared for and then some. We couldn't justify living in a condo, and we don't miss living there one bit, other than we loved the location (but also love where we are located now as well). And I have to add we had great neighbors. But condos suck, and we had nice one!
  9. I didn't think the double down was good at all...I'll never have it again.
  10. That is what I was thinking. And I have a small system, and have built several in the past.
  11. Your car looks like shit, and I'm sure peforms how it looks. Why not bolt a big wing on the back and fit in with the rest of the rice boys?
  12. What does being 5' have to do with her being a heffer?
  13. Those two top bars (on the lower right hand side of the picture, the longer ones that are attached to your throttle control and shift shaft), there are adjustment bolts on them. You likely won't have to adjust it much. Before adjusting, make sure your shift interrupter switch is mounted down securely, and not sticking, as that could also be the issue.
  14. This is likely your issue. This needs adjusted every so often - it's pretty easy to do (I did mine several years ago).
  15. Solution: Don't listen to welfare radio.
  16. And discontinue the insurance first so he can't afford to build another one. Could you choose a more queer color for the wheels? Those red headlights are hideous. And WTF is all over bumper? Looks like the start of that dumb ass Miata running around that has shit glued all over it.
  17. Those Jags go for cheap for a reason...no one wants the maintenance and repair on them. Too much wood grain for my taste.

Do you guys know how much it costs to build an Outlaw Car? More than where you live, that's how much. They are freaking sick. A lot of time/effort/skill/money goes into them both to build and keep running. These are the cars that push the envelope, where technology trickles down to street performance applications. Anyone into drag racing should have a LOT of respect for these cars.

  20. Just got back from Mountain Biking at Alum...it was busy as shit there @ 11:30am, can't imagine the chop-fest it is now. Taking a nap then hitting O'Shaughnessy mid-afternoon.
  21. Maybe try being an adult and not living with your mom @ 22. You are old enough, I promise.

    Oh Jesus..

Why don't you go blame your buddy Bush for sending your friends over there in the first place? How is building this 3 blocks away building it next to the towers? Have you ever even been to Manhatten? 3 blocks away, with the amount of tall buildings in the area...you'd be lucky if you will even be able to see this place from the twin towers.
